The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Not sure how OSU isn't going to be ranked #1 come Tuesday given the committee's own logic for dropping OSU. Not only do they have the SOS advantage and an equal number of ranked wins, OSU has beaten ranked opponents far worse than LSU has.

Of course beating Bama counts as 9 wins so maybe my math is a little off.
Only the last poll really matters. Texas is now a 5-loss team, so that win doesn't really move the meter anymore. LSU has 3 really good wins: Auburn, Florida and Bama. If they add a win vs UGA, that is 4. OSU, should they win out, could also have 4 really good wins (UW, PSU, UM & MN/UW) but they have also been more dominant on a weekly basis with a similar overall schedule strength. But both teams have to win out before the real decision is made, and in that event the margin of victory in these games could prove decisive.

It’s hard to say it with a straight face, but UC has held up as another good win for the Bucks.

Wait so Florida and Auburn count as top ten wins even though they’re outside of the top ten? And Texas counts as a top ten win despite the fact they’re not even ranked.

Well, the Ducks and Pedophiles lost, so that should move us up by default. Not sure how much. Minnie has to beat Wisconsin next week, so a Gopher loss might help us as well. We have a really shitty Florida State program at the Swamp, so maybe the fact we face an o-line as bad as ours will result in a lopsided Clown College beat-down that gives us a little dap. We really should not be outside the top ten after next week unless we lose to FSU. In which case, we deserve to be outside the top 25. Auburn? Hard to say. Their coach is an idiot, but maybe a Tua-less Tahd can lose to their biggest, though inferior, rival.

Texas?? I got nuttin'.

agreed and I would add...

Does the fact that all 3 of osu's non con opponents won their division and will play for a conference title matter? Sure all g5 teams but better than if they played kent and akron.
...that too.

Bama only has one loss, and it was a quality loss that is better than some wins. And LSU beat Bama, which only has one quality loss, so LSU has that going for them too. Plus, Bama lost to a very good team, so LSU gets extra credit for Bama only having one quality loss.

Bama may be #2 this week?

Top ten because? Even with two sec L’s, I’m not so sure. Lost to LSU and UGA...what has gata done? 11 pt win at home vs an OVER rated auburn and shut out Towson, Vandy and UT Martin :bored:

Early poll bias has shown again this year. Highest 1, 2, & 3 loss teams all sec... Is aTm still top 25 too? Start playing 9 Conf games. Stop scheduling fcs schlubs altogether! Then maybe those early rankings would make a little more sense. The cfp is really the eSECpn invitational and if you don’t get an invite tough shit.

Rankings be damned. Just hoping tOSU does enough for an opportunity.
