The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Meanwhile. The "Ohio State is having everything handed to them" narrative at ESPN continues

from the same people that lobby for 2 ACC and 2 SEC teams in the playoff. Which of course would basically mean 2 teams are having spots "handed to them" since they couldn't win what should be defacto playoff games in their conference title games. Imagine having the luxury of losing your conference title game and still being pushed for playoff spots to be handed to you.

Hmmm...I wonder who owns the SEC Network and the ACC Network?

I've been saying that all along. UF beating Bama and Clemson beating ND in a close game is a nightmare scenario for OSU with only 6 possible games. I know UF's defense is trash but Trask will throw it 50+ times vs. Bama and make this a game. How ironic is it that OSU has to pull for ND to eliminate Clemson and Bama to eliminate UF from the conversation?..... probably the two most hated programs outside of *ichigan (throw in PSU and Clemson too).

The interesting thing will be if

Bama Wins
Notre Dame Wins
Ohio State wins?

Who gets the 4 spot?

Do they totally disregard Clemson's 1st loss because "No Lawrence"

Do they really want a Bama/A&M rematch

The Big 12 Champ?

Cincinnati?

interesting point. In that scenario, I think you would have to eliminate Clemson with the 2 losses. They would have gotten 2 cracks at ND and failed..... I'm sorry, they're out.

I could see them putting A&M in, but seeding would be tricky. As long as OSU doesn't look horrible in the win vs NW, they couldn't jump A&M over OSU into the #3 spot (well, they could.... bc they do stupid arbitrary shit like that every year) and screw OSU to avoid Bama vs. A&M 2.0. right?......lol

The cleanest scenario for the CFP Committee, where I don't think they would have too much explaining to do would be: Bama over UF and Clemson over ND in a close one. Then they could just slot Bama at #1, Clemson @ #2, OSU at #3 and ND at #4.

I think this might be why isu jumped cincy. Hedging in case they need a 4th.

I really cant see them putting Iowa State in.......not just because of the name but because Iowa State just hasn't been "eye test" impressive this year.

If OU wins in this scenario I dont really doubt that they rocket them up to 4.
