Loser of ND/Clemson is out. Period.

really looking like Bama v ??? And OSU v Clemson (maybe ND)

Probably A&M. Which sucks. The sec just getting ranked high because sec. Maybe IU is actually good. Maybe the big 12 really is a fucking gauntlet this year. With no out of conference games the self fulfilling prophecy is so much worse this year.

I don't think so. I think a lot of people are under the impression that if ND loses a close one to Clemson in the ACC CG, with a healthy Trevor Lawrence, that they may get slotted #4 and get the unfavorable match-up vs. Bama in the Semi, but they aren't going to drop further than #4.

Deserved or not, it's the Domer treatment they have always gotten. A&M and/or UF's resumes will not look any better (unless UF beats Bama) at the end.

Really hoping for a Florida win.

You end up with the Clemson v Bama semi. I think those are the best two right now. A big part of that is OSU had to replace A LOT and only had 5 games to do it. Clemson had to replace very little and Bama reloaded and had a full season of practice.

Getting Florida in a 2/3 matchup would be a tough test and a good warm up. I want to see our secondary against trask. Don’t want to face Clemson cold which seems the likely scenario. Right now we are nowhere as good as last years playoff team.

In all this craziness, a UF win is the last thing you want to see as a Buckeye fan. With the Buckeyes literally hanging on by a thread to that #4 spot having played less games, and if Clemson beats ND, do you really want to put it in the CFP committees hands to pick 4 between a 1 loss Bama, 1 loss CC UF, 1 loss ND, 1 loss CC Clemson, 1 loss A&M and an undefeated OSU with 3-4 less games played?

In that scenario, I could totally see them putting Clemson at #1, UF at #2, Bama at #3, and the committee then having to choose between a 1 loss ND or OSU at #4.

Even if Fla wins the SEC, I don’t think the committee is going to end up with Bama-Fla and ND-Clemson as the semifinal matchups. Even if tOSU isn’t in it somehow, they can’t expect the public to buy two rematches of games that happened the day before they make their selections.

Maybe Clemson #1, UF #2, OSU #3 and Bama #4.... and ND gets left out?

I love the way that looks. People think UF is trash, but we've seen this scenario play out before. Bama thinks they're safe no matter what happens in the SEC CG and that they aren't dropping from #1 to #5 in one week. UF beats them and then we are left with a popularity contest of 1 loss teams to fill out the top 4, just like every year.

Florida's defense is pretty bad. Bamas has gotten a bit better as the season has gone on.

I'd be shocked if Florida is able to stop Bama's offense enough to win.
Their defense is pretty bad. And the recipe for stopping their offense appears to be known. But we can hope!!!

Maybe Clemson #1, UF #2, OSU #3 and Bama #4.... and ND gets left out?

With a Florida and Clemson and OSU win this is exactly what it will look like. Unbeaten OSU doesn’t get left out. They won’t have Aggie over a Bama team that beat them. They won’t have ND in for an immediate rematch at 4. And we all know that 1 loss Bama is always the best 1 loss team.

The only question mark is if Bama wins. Then number 4 could be anyone.

And that Clemson ND game ain’t gonna be close.

Iowa States boost from #13 to #7 in 2 weeks for not doing very much (survived a mediocre at best Texas team and beat a borderline bad West Virginia team) is pretty funny. Not sure what "EYE TEST" they've put up this season.
