The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Iowa States boost from #13 to #7 in 2 weeks for not doing very much (survived a mediocre at best Texas team and beat a borderline bad West Virginia team) is pretty funny. Not sure what "EYE TEST" they've put up this season.
You weren’t impressed by losing by 17 to Louisiana/USL/La-Laf in the opener?

Recency bias coming into play again.

Even if Fla wins the SEC, I don’t think the committee is going to end up with Bama-Fla and ND-Clemson as the semifinal matchups. Even if tOSU isn’t in it somehow, they can’t expect the public to buy two rematches of games that happened the day before they make their selections.
What, you don't think 75% of the country wants to watch Clemson NoD III?

There's surely no job for you at the mothership if that's the way you think.

Yes, Georgia has been a force, what with their narrow wins over MSSt, Kentucky and letting Tennessee lead at half before losing 6 straight. Oh there were two other games as well?

Nah those other games always magically disappear and are forgotten when SEC teams are being argued for

Any argument for Texas A&M (lol) in the playoff ive seen conveniently completely leaves out their plunger loss to Bama.

Because everyone wants to see round 2 of a game that was a 28 point beatdown the first go around.

Meanwhile. The "Ohio State is having everything handed to them" narrative at ESPN continues

from the same people that lobby for 2 ACC and 2 SEC teams in the playoff. Which of course would basically mean 2 teams are having spots "handed to them" since they couldn't win what should be defacto playoff games in their conference title games. Imagine having the luxury of losing your conference title game and still being pushed for playoff spots to be handed to you.

He is aware that osu would LOVE to be playing this weekend? And I doubt the nw kitties have any interest in not playing Illinois.

Yea, but logic need not apply when you've got a narrative to push
Logic isn’t the order of the day though. Never was.

ESPN has what the secretly wanted now, which is OSU all but guaranteed a spot in the CFP. Now they can promote the ACC/SEC brands and push everyone’s buttons to drive ratings. OSU fans or anyone else, they know what to say and have a consistent message across all of their outlets to make sure it infuriates someone.

Probably time we all quit falling for it. (Myself included )
