UF seems to be the right school for him, but Meyer sent up a redflag with him. JT's faith couldn't be a bigger bonus for OSU. This kid's faith is the reason he is alive, and I think if we offer after camp we could be right in the running thanks to JT's faith & approach to student-athlete living on top of his ability as a coach.

Other elements that are important and way favorably for tOSU is Tressel's recruiting tactics. Specifically, the streamlined approach instead of the Spaghetti method that unfortunately most Coaches seem to use.

When JT offers a recruit the student athlete knows he is truly one of a select few. When comparing us to many other programs that offer in bunches, we stand out in a different light for this reason. At first when Tressel started this methodology I for one was a little concerned about if we were missing out on some opportunities to land certain prospects, after further review, I have to say I'm proud of our Coach and his ways.

After speaking with Tim's father and realizing how overwhelming this decision can be it occurred to me that Coach Tressel tactics truly fit in with the Tebow's ideals. You see I believe for a Student Athlete and his family they will have far less questions pertaining to where they stand with a program that is recruiting them, if they're a select one of few not one of many receiving offers.

This I know makes a tremendous impact on prospects, like I said before and I'll say it again I like our chances with Tim even if we have not offered as of yet. Take it for what it's worth.

Two things:

1) When I spoke with Tim he was the absolute epitome of the polite southern young man.....I have never heard "yes sir" so many times in a conversation.....The entire family is pure class....Whatever school that he chooses (IMO) gets what could be the best football player in a long, long time...

2) Somebody give Bestbuck36 a great post award for his recent post.....he couldn't have been more dead on.....and some greenies to go with it...

I wasn't looking for awards or green chicklets but thanks anyways. It is just refreshing to see kids out there that have it all and are humble enough to want to work hard and keep it. There are thousands of athletes that come out every year who are awesome physical specimen. There are only a handful of those that are complete people as well. The Buckeyes are really blessed at the moment because we are in on two of these type of athletes (Greg Oden-BB).

In all fairness, I don't know these guys personally and can only go by their interviews on the web, radio and tv. With the media we all are aware here that sometimes the true gems get no attention because that rarely "sells" magazines or news articles. :roll2:

I heard this first in my car and thought I was mistaken

so I went to the rivals site, to listen to their May 5th radio show. On there Jeremy Patterson stated that he thinks Michigan leads for Tebow, and that was the buzz around the Tallahassee camp.

When there is smoke there is fire, eh?

I've also heard something else regarding Michigan and Tebow. I talked to a man (won't say his name) who is invloved with the Elite 11 camps- now this guy was chatting with Tebow and his father for a bit, and he said a name they kept bringing up and a guy they kept just gushing about was Scott Loeffler- Michigan's QB coach. I have a hard time believing he ends up at Michigan, but I do know they have the academics and depth chart angle working in there favor over Florida.

In the end, I'll say he is still a Gator.

Tebow awaits visit from Trojans
By Garry Paskwietz
Date: May 9, 2005

The top rated quarterback on the Trojan wish list will get a school visit on Thursday from Pete Carroll as the USC head coach will be at Nease HS in Florida. Tebow is an outstanding prospect, a left handed thrower who put up mind-boggling stats last year in the air and on the ground. Click below to read more

USC is always a threat for any recruit these days, but I just don't see Tim moving that far away to such a different environment. The values and lifestyle is tremendously different out here in Southern California. Watch out for TSuN for Tim Tebow as of right this minute. I hope Coach Tressel is stepping up his pursuit for this Florida Gunslinger.

Michigan visited Tim on Monday and on Thursday USC was in to see him. Tim was impressed by USC and says he will definetly take an official visit out west. He says he is wide open and has not narrowed his list of schools. He has heard the rumors of him being a "lock" to Florida and he says that is not true.
