[censored] on the [censored]ing Hoosiers (POTFH).

Ohio State has "Hang on Sloopy;" Purdue has POTFH. Signs with POTFH are all over campus in West Lafayette a month leading up to their game with IU, and that's the way it's been for the last 60+ years.

I don't see the Buckeyes sleeping on ANYONE this season.

Based on the fact that there is nothing beyond 12-0, the team appears to be focused on winning every game. I know, teams always want to win every game, but in this case what other teams do have no impact on this Buckeye team. There won't be any poll watching, no BCS distractions.

That said, I think the Buckeyes win this one 70-21. Honestly, Sparty has no playmakers outside of Bell, and they were able to eventually wear IU out and start scoring in bunches. This should be a big night for Braxton/Philly/Carlos/Rod/Brionte.

In regards to the trap game angle:

For those unfamiliar with it, here is a write up of the Darkest Day in Ohio State football from October 11, 1987. Earl was the head coach and one of his assistants was named Urban Meyer or something like that.

25 years later and I still would gladly spill buckets of Hoosier blood over this.

I'm quite sure Urban hasn't forgotten.

After a 10-10 halftime tie, Indiana took control when Tom Polce ran for two touchdowns. Ohio State had only 10 rushing yards in the second half and did not get a first down in the third quarter. Indiana outgained Ohio State, 405-264, in total yards. Minnesota 45 Northwestern 33

The fuck does Minnesota beating Northwestern have to do with Ohio State-Indiana?!

It was a formatting error, that was the next story.

Not to belabor the point but this was a big fucking deal when it went down. This was essentially the game that got Earle fired (if you believe it was all due to on-field performance).

No way a young assistant coach who witnessed that horror first hand and thinks so highly of Coach Bruce to this very day fails to remember.

Yeah, I saw after I posted that the final score was a few paragraphs up.

I'll be heading there early Saturday morning for my first OSU road game with the girlfriend. Any pointers on parking or food destinations? Don't know if Scooter will be much help with parking there.

Also, not sure what kind of tailgating policies they have there. PM or post ideas here, thanks.

It's pretty much a free-for-all party if you park in the fields south of the stadium. Most of the college kids are in the front rows, a little more civilized further back.

Gravel and paved lots on the other 3 sides of the stadium that are more liken to OSU tailgates. Not really any big policies. No glass, but that's more enforced in the student tailgating areas. Not really going to be bothered by anyone in the other areas. Drink up at your pleasure.

Food-

Village Deli- on Kirkwood Ave (about a mile south of Stadium) if you have time in the morning. Great, sizable breakfast options.
Nick's English Hut-Kirkwood Ave, decked out in IU memorabilia, big spot for alums to hit, nice place to get a drink
Opie Taylor's- on Walnut St. (burgers, mozzarella sticks!)
Buffalouie's- off Kirkwood and Indiana Ave (chicken, burgers)

I'll be there Friday and Saturday

:io:

Since 1952, Ohio State is 48-2-2 against Indiana. Let that sink in. Over 60 seasons, Indiana has won but two games. One of those games was with UFM on the OSU staff. That 1987 loss ended a 30-0-1 run against Indiana.

Remember what JT did to Northwestern after we lost at Ryan Field in 2004 (ending a 24-game winning streak against them)? Four straight curbstompings: 48-7, 54-10, 58-7, and 45-10.

I'm thinking UFM will be out for blood...

Trying not to get overly optimistic... but something tells me that this team is coming together now and we are about to go hay knuckle on the rest of the Big 10.

It would be nice. I do think Ohio State will win by a comfortable margin, but if the defense has a bad day I think Indiana could easily hang a lot longer than they would usually.

I'll go ahead and throw out Kilroy's Bar on Kirkwood as another good place to grab drinks and a bite to eat before the game. More so on the drinks side, but they do have good food. Get the breadsticks.

I'll likely be there in the early afternoon before heading to the tailgating fields prior to kickoff. About a mile+ trek to the stadium area from there.

 GTFOH. Hang a lot longer than usual? So what's that, seven min into the second?
