Haven't been to a game since Illinois in 2008. I'm going to try and get tickets for this game. I can imagine finding a hotel will be a nightmare.

Getting tickets will be a huge challenge in the first place. If you're coming to Lincoln, book your room NOW. You may already be too late (and I imagine you are).

If you get tickets and you can't find a hotel, post in here and I'll do some checking and see if I can find any decent hotels/motels with rooms.

I have heard a theory that you could try...

Get tickets.
Drive out there.
If it's a loss... drive home immediately after. You won't want to stay there anyway.
If it's a win... go out and get smashed and just pass out in your car around 2-4 am... wake up the next day get yourself together and drive home happy.

Pfft. With all the flooding I'm hearing about, people can just moor their house boats.

Yeah, the flooding is bad. They keep telling us that Ft. Calhoun nuclear power plant is safe, but the floodwater is within a few feet of a disaster:

PIC

And we just keep getting more and more and more rain, and the kicker is that we haven't even gotten the surge from the snowpack melt from Montana yet.

That was silly of them to build a nookyoolar plant in the middle of a river...

Good advice, Nate lol. I saw tickets on stubhub and a Nebraska website. Is $300 about the cheapest I can expect? Also when would be a good time to get to Lincoln? I will be driving 6 1/2 hours and I would like to tailgate and hang out with some fans

If you can find tickets for $300 I'd take them. That's not a bad deal. This game will be a heck of a defensive battle, so if you're like me and you like great defense, you gotta get those tickets.

Tailgating will start at about 10-ish, but if you're wandering around by noon or so you'll meet plenty of Husker fans.

As the game approaches I'll post more about where to go, what to do and what to see.

In the meantime, check out this video of the flooding around Omaha. Pretty incredible stuff.

I'd be interested to hear what you expect as far as gameday atmopsphere will be like with the Buckeyes coming. Based on previous big games with other fanbases, then after the game, if you got what you expected.

If you're basing it off of that pic I have to warn you - that's one of the more exciting things to happen here in 100 years.

The flood is destructive and terrible, but it beats watching the corn grow. Again.

:slappy:

I have family that lives right outside of the Omaha area, I refuse to visit. But only because they say I'll like it. Lol. I'm more of a small city kind of guy, I relish in the comfort of the anonymity small towns provide. But I need to be close to the 'Shoe. So fuck being anonymous.

They must be passing out free crack in Vegas. Opening line has us as 12-point dogs at Nebraska.

Three opening lines are simply mind-fucking-boggling:

OSU +12 at Nebraska
OSU +5 vs Wisconsin
OSU even at Michigan
