2020 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

How are you measuring the success of FNL? Entertainment value for fans in the stands? Did FNL actually cause any high ranked recruits to commit to OSU? Or did FNL actually create a scUM-ton of extra expense and work for staff and dilute the amount of time coaches could spend with the most desired recruits?

There were a handful of commits we got right after the event, but usually it went a long way to getting a recruit down the road. There is hardly an event anymore that gets an instant commit, but FNL was one that went a long ways in getting top guys on campus and furthering the relationship.

It feels like this weekend has more top guys on campus than FNL ever had, if that’s the measure we’re going with.

And it sounds like it will result in more commitments than FNL ever managed as well.

So we’re worried that the guys we attract through the event will be less competive because it’s a BBQ and not a camp? Even though there is also a camp involved?
