2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I think that's a narrative that's been played about Big Dave, but hadn't heard anything about him with DJ at Clemson. And I wonder if because he posts actively on twitter about his son, it riles up some fans. But where has he made it solely about the $$$ and not about where his son can play early and get developed into an NFL player? And that's being a homer if we think that LJsr is the "obvious" choice for his development, especially if Oregon is one of his finalists and they just sent a lottery pick to the NFL. I want any of the 3 since they're all talented and can help. I think the dad thing will work itself out.
If it's about developing LJ is the obvious choice. He's the best DL coach in America.

You can compare Ohio State's 2023 recruiting class to the B1G teams classes:

College football recruiting: Where Big Ten classes rank for 2023

The 2023 recruiting cycle is heating up with just three months remaining until the Early Signing Period. With that in mind, we have decided to check in on the Big Ten Conference recruiting classes and how they stack up heading into the fall.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, the Big Ten currently boasts 11 of the top-50 recruiting classes in the country. That includes six teams ranked inside the top-30 nationally, headlined by the No. 6 class in the country.

It should be noted that verbal commitments are non-binding and prospects in the 2023 class will not be able to make it official until the Division I Early Signing Period in December. Those who elect not to sign during the early period will be able to do so on National Signing Day on Feb. 1, 2023.

At this point in time Ohio State is #1 and scUM is #6..........

I could be way off on this take, but just a gut feeling I have. Dijon is in this class, after the indecision earlier. It appears he was given the choice in or out and it seems as he said I want in. Just a guess I think he gave his silent commit to the class and will re-commit publicly during an all star game. Maybe I am wrong but he seems still pretty connected to this class.

Is there any chance of Dijon ending up in the class or is he just happy for Rodgers?

He gone. Not from me, but Birm stated as much.
He’s just happy for his 7 on 7 teammate.

I had assumed he was gone after he didn't recommit that time, but didn't know for sure.
Birm has a great breakdown of the situation on his Talking Stuff episode of The Podcast this week if anyone else is interested.

Birm believes the 2023 class finishes as follows:
Keeley
Uiagalelei
McDonald
Okunla

That would be a grand slam finish and the absolute best case scenario. Not sure I agree with that finish, but Birm has forgotten more info than I even know. That list just sounds a little too… ambitious. But sign me up for that, and I don’t even care what the ranking would be
