2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

People are rightfully unhappy with our recruiting at DE, LB, OT and S.
We killed it at WR which inflates the ranking and with the lack of rotation at WR they won’t help much next year.
Rightfully? It's foolish to feel anything but optimistic regarding any recruiting class because they are nothing until they perform while wearing Scarlet and Gray. Disappointed maybe not getting some of the DE's that we were thought to be leading for and OT that were talked about the same way but recruiting now includes all of the transfer windows. Once the February signing day is completed I'll chime in my full thoughts but I havent seen a spot yet where we got players who automatically wont help the Buckeyes.

Great showing for Innis and Tate. Both are going to be stars here, like to the Olave and Wilson level if they stay healthy. Could throw it to either one every play and just shred the defense. Going to see more of Kienholz, definitely mobile and can escape the pocket, and looks to have good arm strength, but small sample size so far.

Yeah also meant to say I think I might have been off on Fletcher, much quicker than what I saw on film and great athlete. Wish we could have held on there.
With 4 guys who can get it done already on the roster, RB was a luxury pick this year. Fletcher is a great back ad will be good at Miami, plausibly, but the fact that we have room now and better looking depth chart possibilities to pull in Jordan Marshall is what I'm more hopeful of. Of the two I'd rather have Marshall but we have to go and get him first. If we do that then it all worked out perfectly. If we don't we'll lament not getting Fletcher. Pretty much how it works for all of them.

Agreed we don't need him and I would rather have Marshall (though we're somewhat of a longshot right now). But you want talent like that and you can see how things shake out. Definitely not a position of need, so not a huge loss like at some other positions.

Speaking of Lincoln getting a chance, long touchdown pass after an amazing escape from the pocket. Kind of threw it up for grabs but still an impressive play. Oh and the guy who caught it has the last name Pimpton...going to be popular with the ladies in college.
