Toughest place to play?

My vote goes to Baghdad. I think that would be a very difficult place to play.

Seriously, is there really any doubt that Camp Randall is the worst away game? The other fans are amateurs at making opposing teams feel unwelcome; Badger fans have gone pro.

The incessant "ASSHOLE" chants do get lame after awhile.

They definitely have the biggest inferiority complex in the Big 10.

I purposely left Crappy Valley off of my list because no one even cared about PSU before this year, theyve had one good year in the last 10 years, I think it will be back to normal next year, since they lost most of their team.
PSU has been by far the most difficult venue for OSU... Michigan may be our biggest rival, but they can't begin to hold a candle to Happy Valley. Then again, the "big" house might not even make the top 10-15 for noise.

Toughest atmosphere i've seen for a game...Happy Valley vs. Ohio State this year. Ohio Stadium gets louder at times...but this place was loud THE WHOLE GAME. The loudest that i've heard any stadium is Ohio Stadium on 3rd downs in 2002 against Michigan.

I'd have to throw in Va Tech's stadium as well I've been there many times and it can get loud.... However once their team goes down so do the fans so I don't think they're Elite stadium wise... The loudest I've ever heard the shoe thoe was when A.J Hawk had an INT against Texas... jus watch the clip in Mili's videos and listen to the crowd when A) he INT's the ball and B) when A.J eventually gets hit by #25. Sooo loud.

1. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida
2. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee
3. Ohio Stadium, Ohio State
4. Tiger Stadium, Louisiana State
5. Autzen Stadium, Oregon
6. Husky Stadium, Washington
7. Kyle Field, Texas A&M
8. Camp Randall Stadium, Wisconsin
9. Memorial Stadium, Nebraska
10. Sanford Stadium, Georgia

Here is an article I found that Mel Kiper did:
http://espn.go.com/melkiper/s/2002/0711/1404492.html

That's a solid list right there, but I would think that Happy Valley (at least for us) would be in there somewhere. Auburn is another tough place to play at. It's hard to pick just one.

I'm surprised the Shit House isn't on that list. Not that I think it SHOULD be on the list. I'm just surprised it isn't on the list.

I've been to two college football stadiums: Ohio Stadium, and whatever the hell Case Western Reserve Univ's old stadium was called. It's pretty close, but I think that the fact that CWRU could only SOMETIMES convert the extra point after touchdown (give them a break: I think they only averaged 5 touchdowns a year) pushes Ohio Stadium over CWRU.

Not me.

It's not loud at all, I was up there for the biggest crowd in college history, the 100th game that we ended up losing and the design of the stadium isn't conducive to holding noise in.

I've been to Autzen stadium twice since I'm a big Duck fan too and I live only about 2 hours north of Eugene and maybe it's just me but it didn't seem all that deafening. I went to the OT game against Cal this year and it wasn't consistently loud. I think I would need to go to another stadium so I would know what to compare it to.

I also heard Tiger Stadium was a little overrated. My pick is:

1. Ohio Stadium(loud no matter what our record is or who we're playing)

Our fans have to be the most passionate. Other loud ones are Happy Valley(remember the white out), Kinnick stadium, Texas A&M, the Swamp, LSU, and Autzen stadium.

I don't know about Tennessee. I don't think it should be that high.

I get pretty tired of this excuse. I'm sure the design of the stadium doesn't help but it's far from the main problem. It's quiet b/c their fans are not nearly vocal enough. The entire place was basically silent for the first half in 2001.
