So sorry to read this.
Thanks. I haven't seen my house yet, but it may be good that nobody is taking pictures of that part of the neighborhood. Mine is probably the highest house in the neighborhood and nearly the furthest from the river, so I will probably have the least damage, but all indications are that I'll have at least a foot or two of water inside. In the off chance that my house is spared, I've decided to be the snacks-and-showers safehouse for the neighbors as they clean up. Maybe it'll be spared for that? Not sure it works that way...

Hope everything's going ok @Deety
Well, I lost my furniture, carpet, and drywall, but I gained a rather large fish lodged between the sandbags and the sliding glass door. Luckily, I have lots of help with cleanup and most of the more important items were salvageable. Most people in my neighborhood had much more damage and won't be able to get back in for days yet. Lots of others facing the same thing as the water surged down from NC, where it's also a big mess.

My parents are dealing very well with having not only me and my two wild cats at home, but also hosting my quarantined feral rescue cat with leukemia in a very large dog kennel in their office. Poor thing was turning into a real lovebug and I was about to do an adoption campaign for him, and now he's all mad and confused after being dragged to PA and back. But at least he wasn't outside for the storm.

Anyway, in the end it's just less stuff and a house that won't quite appreciate as planned. I can deal with that.

The panhandle beach towns are going to be in really bad shape after this. Evidently there are areas that still haven't rebuilt even 15 years after Ivan, and it is one of the poorest areas with high rates of uninsured. Plus all the old growth trees with shallow root systems up there are going to take down and mangle the power lines further inland, so this is not likely to be a pretty outcome.
