USC is going to have a QB controversy next year, unless somebody hits the portal. True fresh Kevin Slovis was very poised and made all the throws, including a couple of perfect deep back shoulder jobs, as he filled in for sophomore JT Daniels, who suffered a torn ACL (and meniscus, I think) late in the opener against Fresno St.

Slovis was coached in high school by Kurt Warner. Daniels was the guy who did eighth grade twice to be better physically as a high school QB, then skipped his fourth year of high school, so he's the same age as most second-year players now. Previously he was the cable installer in numerous 70s porno movies.
