What book are you currently reading, or recommend?

I enjoyed the second book quite a bit, you shouldn't be dissapointed with it. I just started the new one so haven't formed much of an opinion yet but from I understand it is more love story & less grandiose capers than the first two. It's also supposed to start introducing some of the meta story driving the series.

If you like Lynch you'll probably also enjoy The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It's the first book of a trilogy. The second is The Wise Man's Fear and the third is yet to be released.

Yeah, I'm eagerly awaiting the third book of The Kingkiller Chronicle too. More ASoI&Fish, but have you read any of Joe Abercrombie's The First Law series? Just finished the trilogy a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good too.

I haven't actually gotten around to the trilogy yet...but I have read Beset Served Cold & The Heroes. Not sure why I haven't picked up The Blade Itself yet as Abercrombie is the kind of writer I normally like.

Next on my list are the two newest Ethshar books by Lawrence Watt-Evans. I've been negligent in keeping up with them.

The Polar Express. The children's story that promotes, above all others, that most heart-warming of Christmas messages: When you're lured outside in your pajamas in the middle of the night by a strange man parked in front of your house who tells you he wants to take you to meet Santa, ALWAYS immediately climb into his vehicle.

(What could go wrong? You might even end up with a cool bell or something.)

Magic Train riding where tracks are not present is not the same as rusted out van blowing white smoke from the exhaust.

If the pedo can produce a magic train, even the most cautious kids are done for.
