13 SECONDS..what?!? Was the guy on crutches or something?
Also, come on guys with some of these 40 times you are all posting. 4.4 legit times are from some of the best athletes in the world. Hell even a legit 4.5 is smoking fast in High School
I played baseball and ran a 4.45 as a sophmore. I don't think I was timed after that. I remember going to a camp at Cooper Stadium and I was in the top 3 of the 150 that were there.
Honestly, mine was timed by hand, so human error was involved from the start to the end. There is no way I would've been able to run the time I ran as a freshman if it was electronic timed.
Dude there is no way that Bo Jackson time is accurate. I have never heard that before, and cannot believe that he would be that much faster than everyone else.
I think the speed in the 40 on BP is due to the small size of many of the members in high school. I was 6'1" 150 my sophmore year. It took very little for me to get going in a hurry. These guys in the NFL probably had much quicker times when they were in high school. They are getting there times as full grown men that almost all weigh over 200#s. Comparing us to the NFL is not all that accurate at all.
prime time was not faster as a highschooler.
one of two things are responsible for bp'ers 40 times, either they were hand timed, leaving lots of room for error....or...(more likely) everyone is full of shit.
