I watched Mantle as a rookie and maybe even saw Dimaggio play.
I remember when TV's hit the stores and I remember when hula hoops were only hula arcs.
I may even be BuckeyeMike's Daddy.

Why would any old fart admit to being the poopie pants here? :tongue2:
(outside of BKB that is)
My vBet is on Script.

Taosman,

I'm 61 and I'm positive that I'm not the oldest on the list. If you are betting that I'm the oldest YOU LOSE. So please contact an administrator/moderator and have the vDollors that you bet transferred to me.

"When you're young you brag about the sex you just had.
When you're old you brag about the last bowel movement you had!" :tongue2:

Based on that last line reagdog is the oldest member of BP.

Brilliant joke by Ron White, who relates that his grandfather has ED but can't afford Viagra. White was unwilling to pay for it either, but sprang for some ginkgo biloba so the old man could at least remember what a boner feels like.

Old enough to remember Topper and Sid Caesar on TV. Old enough to have seen liberty head dimes in everyday business. Old enough to have ridden my bike to the store to get a loaf of bread with fifteen cents in my pocket -- 10 for the bread, five for a candy bar -- usually a Clark Bar.

Old enough to listen to a Joe Louis heavyweight championship bout on radio. Old enough to remember when 10 out of every 5 teenage radios in Columbus were locked on WCOL.

Old enough to have heard Fibber McGee and Molly, Bob Hope, Jack Benny and Amos 'n' Andy live broadcasts.

Old enough to remember when Dayton had two daily newspapers.

When I was born Roosevelt (Franklin, not Teddy) still had a year and 2 months left.

Now get back to work to pay for my pensions.

BTW, if you see us together you will swear that BB73 looks older.
