Will Boeckman be Benched?

That's the key, really, isn't it? The line has played poorly in the last three big games and it has to be more than coincidence that the some of the same parts are unchanged.

In my opinion, the line didn't play as bad as Boeckman made them look. USC blitzed aggressively - the line looked like a sieve because there were more attacking defenders than the Bucks had blockers. And when you have a QB back there who is reduced to making poor decisions or no decision at all, it is bound to be a disaster.

That to me was part of the most evident difference in this game. Both teams blitzed on defense and went after the QB. Where Boeckman didn't handle the pressure (and maybe didn't have the right play call to counter the blitz) Sanchez seemed to be ready and able to respond effectively every time. How many times did he make the dump off just in time or find the hole in the zone right away? It was frustrating that their QB was able to do this every single time and Boeckman could not. And apparently I wasn't the only one frustrated by it - the Bucks got two roughing calls in part because Sanchez was so effective that late hits were the only hits they could get on him.

After watching that game I think we need to go with Pryor. I understand that Todd is the more seasoned QB, but Pryor adds a dimension to the offense that Todd just doesn't have.

I think Coach T will slowly start giving Pryor more playing time, leading to him taking the job sometime around week 8.

Wouldn't it be better to do it NOW? Against Troy?

As a coach it is a worthwhile consideration given what it would do for team morale.

Todd B knows what is up. He saw his buddy Schoenhoft not get any playing time and leave, saw Henton leave, and he knows he has to KEEP earning the job.

So yes, let's start a new era now, The TP era.

there was one play in particular that really stood out in my mind.

It was the play when Clay Matthews came off the edge and blindsided Todd causing him to fumble (which we recovered).

It looked like they were going to bring the house on the play, Alex moved down to help out Steve with the pass rush. One on one coverage at the top. They didn't blitz either of their two backers who were in the middle. Matthews comes untouched. Boom was the hot route on that play and Todd didn't see him. I'm sure he was expecting the DE to be picked up by Alex, but what bothers me is that if the o-line were making their calls, and Todd sees something strange in the defense, why wouldn't he audible out of the play, or at least acknowledge the hot route? That play could've gone for a lot of yards if he would've hit Herron in the flat. There wasn't a single Trojan within 15 yards.

After that play, myself and the 11 other people I was watching the game with, collectively said, "Hot Route was wide @#$%ing open..."

A lot went wrong on the play, but it certainly didn't have to result the way it did.

I respectfully disagree. Pryor wasn't the top QB recruit in the nation for nothing. Boeckman has done well to take us as far as he can take us, but Pryor has the upside. The future is now.

he meant over the course of the next 2 or 3 games. i think that's a fair plan. by the time we hit the meat of the B10 schedule it would be all TP.

v or no v 47 billion dollars is a big chunk of change. does AIG take vdollars? i heard they need about 50b to stay in business.

not gonna argue, however, MS was standing back there for what seemed like FOREVER before he dumped it off. TB was running for his life as soon as he got the snap...
