World Baseball Classic

damn, that's a solid lineup for team USA. i wonder how nervous reds fans are with griff playing. as a tribe fan, i was happy when cc opted out. if it were a position player(w/o griff's injury history) i wouldn't care but i would worry about a pitcher. of course cabrera's pitching for puerto rico but i don't mind b/c he's getting an opportunity to close games.

I don't find it much different from Spring training. They could get hurt either place.

I think it will help these guys earlier in the season, b/c they have already been playing live full speed baseball and not spring training.

This game is never ending.

US is already down 1-0, Dontrell was struggling with control early, he had two walks in the first.

USA down 2-0 now in the 3rd.

Canada tacked on another run by way of back-to-back triples by Aaron Guile and Adam Stern.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for Willis seeing how I drafted him in a BP fantasy league. :(

Cuba won 8-6 in 11 innings.

If Ruben Rivera hadn't backed away from a bases-loaded pitch with the score tied in the bottom of the 9th, Panama would have won 7-6. But he instinctively backed off.

Pretty sad when they have to post the mercy rule about the US. :tongue2:

FYI, 15 runs after the 5th inning, or 10 runs after the 7th.
