WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion)

I'm not sure if it's a win but a commitment to run the football in that game would have shortened the game. The one series in the game that Ohio State committed to running the football they shoved in down Florida's throats for a touchdown. I'm not a fan of the game plan that was in place for that game.

we never got to SEE the game plan, because the central focus of it got his foot broken on the first play of the game.

ummm, no. just no. third best conference. the SEC is better and the Pac12 is better.

That's certainly a matter of opinion. The case could absolutely be made that the B12(-2) is better than the Pac12.

Regarding Braxton and Heisman potential, I agree with the poster that mentioned Carlos cutting into Braxtons scores. I think we'll see Braxton score fewer and fewer rushing TD's as Carlos takes the feature back role over.

Shoot, I'd say Braxton has had at least 3 scores vultured this season.

only one head to head matchup that i recall. Arizona ran Oklahoma State off the field...

edit: 3 Pac12 teams in BCS top ten, two from BigXii(-2)... FWIW...

edit2: 8 BigXii(-2) teams in BCS top 25.

Tom (OH)

Mel, does Braxton Miller have a chance to be an NFL quarterback? With him being only a sophomore, he has time to develop his throwing motion, accuracy, strength, etc., but does he even have the potential to develop the qualities NFL teams need to see in a potential QB?

Mel Kiper

I think that's something we have to wait and see. He's only a sophomore like you said. He's a young kid. He's got the ability. When you watch him, he's a dynamic player who deserves all of the accolades he's getting. Meyer loves this kid. He's got a strong arm. He's got RGIII type speed. He's got all of that. He probably has better moves in the open field than RGIII. He'll be a very interesting kid to follow. He's a true sophomore, so he will have to go back next year.

Mel Kiper

He has a rare combination of speed and athleticism. Tebow had a 38.5 vertical but ran only a 4.7. RGIII was 4.39. Miller will be more in the RGIII area.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE 2012 MIDSEASON
QB Braxton Miller, Soph. Ohio State

A case could certainly be made for Kansas State?s Collin Klein as an MVP, and with 25 touchdown passes and no picks there?s little argument to be made against West Virginia?s Geno Smith, but the Wildcats have a defense and the Mountaineers lost to Texas Tech. Miller so far has been college football?s best overall combination of Most Valuable Player and Most Outstanding Player...

cont'd...
