Nice game Robo, thanks for being such a great Buckeye and providing so many great memories. Robo is another guy who seems to be a better person than football player, and that is saying a lot as he is a heck of a player.

A rewiring of the OSU offense reduced Brian Robiskie's number of catches to 37 this season.

Oh, to have been a receiver in the Big 12 this season.

Missouri's Jeremy Maclin had 95 catches, Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree 93, Kansas' Kerry Meier 87, Texas' Jordan Shipley 79, teammate Quan Cosby 78 and Oklahoma State's Dez Bryant 74, just to name a few.

Speaking of few, Ohio State's Brian Robiskie led the Buckeyes with 37. But that doesn't mean he'll be looking longingly at those Big 12 numbers when the Buckeyes play Texas in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 5.

"Nah," he said.

Robiskie also smiled. Going into this season, he was coming off a 55-catch, 11-touchdown year in 2007. He did not see the recession coming.

"Football-wise, at the start of the year you always want to outdo what you've done," Robiskie said. " I felt like I wanted to come back and have a better year, as would anybody."

It?s been a frustrating year for Robiskie, who in 2007 emerged as one of the top playmakers in the nation with his 55 receptions for 935 yards and 11 touchdowns. But with senior QB Todd Boeckman being supplanted by freshman phenom Terrelle Pryor, the Buckeyes offense changed, and it directly affected Robiskie. In what would be his final game with the Buckeyes, Robiskie captured his first 100-yard performance of the season at the Fiesta Bowl. He caught five passes - one of them being a 48-yard highlight reel reception from Boeckman down the right side - for 106 yards. Although his production was down a bit this season - 42 receptions for 535 yards and eight touchdowns - Robiskie will be a late Day One, early Day Two selection.
