WR/RB Lamaar "Flash" Thomas (transfer to New Mexico)

Get the reverse pass play for Flash ready : BG (free)

Lamaar Thomas: Another week meant another win for Friendly High School. It also meant another way that Thomas made a significant impact on the game. Thomas played quarterback and threw for three touchdowns, and also was a force on defense in a game that Friendly won 34-12.

Moved the last three posts here...and there is always concern when Zook is lurking but I am not too concerned for the time being. The source I spoke to says not to worry.

Me either...a little time well spent with the Brew Crew in San Antonio is only going to further secure his commitment.

Something I noticed on the Bucknuts Free Board:

The Lamaar Thomas Speculation - Bucknuts Forum

I would have loved to have Scott here, but having three top 100 wide outs cushions the blow a little bit. :)

I'm hoping we get to see a little bit of Flash the runningback when he gets here. If he can get up to 195(around Pittman's playing weight for a significant portion of his career), I would love to see him get anywhere from 5-10 carries/reverses/pitches a game.

I agree. I think Thomas can be a Ted Ginn/Percy Harvin type of player for us. The speed and quality athletes Tress has been able to bring in is truly impressive and I look forward to watching the various ways he uses Thomas on Offense.

Harvin and Ginn were both consensus top 10 national recruits, regardless of position. I expect Thomas will be good, but those two players were special talents.

He just said they have the same characteristics. FYI, Lamaar is ranked #34 in the country by rivals which is borderline 5*.
