WStripes and Mass JG Speculation (Split)

the depth at running back is kind of a pointless debate....its like the the class validictorian getting to choose between full rides to Harvard or Yale....either place he is going to be facing the best of competition....and getting the best teaching...

in the time i have spoken with JG he truly seems to be a stressed out and confused young man (regarding which school to choose)....but he also seems sincere and honest in his feelings for both schools....

kind of like dating two super hot chicks for awhile, but the inevitable "you have to choose one of us" time has arrived for JG....

i know...ive used my analogies up for the week in this post alone

While I agree that both USC and OSU offer the best in teaching, and no disrespect to Pittman, to say that USC's and OSU's current RB depth are similar or even the same is off-target. USC has two top-flight backs to choose from...one is a serious Heisman Trophy candidate and there other is a solid, proven power back. OSU has but one back who has even taken a snap at the college level, and he didn't even have 400 yards rushing for the entire season, including the bowl game. It's not even close.

The question is IF Bush and White leave, and IF Washington will be back?? Does Jason want to take that chance?? Jason will not be playing much at USC for a couple of years and no matter what is said thats the obvious truth due to those other fine RB's at USC. As stated before there are few Petersons around. At present, OSU has a thinner RB roster a better chance to get playing time. Thats something nobody can deny.
The depth does matter to the recruits coming in. They all look at it, so it's important at least to them, and subject to debate.
Although wstripes is a very cool poster and has alot to offer, unfortunately as you stated Alan, the only accurate person who knows the "truth" is Jason. Some may have close "inside info" but only the recruits know the "truth". All others are speculating at best. Fun isn't it??

P.s. wstripes, thanks for the fun and info. you've provided. Much appreciated.

A parent would want him close to home and to mainly get a good education; and finish school because football is a short lived sport. A parent would want his child to have a great football career because naturally he is the best player since ... well since anybody. He will get a great education and play wherever he goes but one is closer to home and he will play sooner, than the other.
I wonder if mom and dad look good in Scarlet n Grey?? Hows that?? haha

Question for NevadaBuck.....

You stated in an earlier thread that IF Gwaltney had told Petey he's coming than his intentions,IYO, are less than honorable.
I fully realize you cannot comment on my interpretation of this statement but the only possible way that issues of honor are relevant here is, IMO, if Gwaltney has also told OSU or WVU that he is coming to either of their schools and he currently is leaving either of these schools with the belief that his intention to attend said school is still operable. If that is the case...honor is an issue.
