Your "Fast and Furious" Ride?

i have a 2001 camaro ss t-tops black/black leather m6. its stock and is currently putting down 330.6 whp and 347.9 wtq. *shrug* its a decent starting point. the goal is ~400 - 450 whp with equivelant wtq na.

the car is actually what got me started posting on message boards hence the name. :p

nice mustang saw. what is it putting down currently and what have you done to it?

Do you have a Camaro Cut?

is it an LT1 or an LS1? if it's an LS1, just throw a 100 shot of Nitrous in it, and be done. you'll be sitting on 430 whp, and nearly 500 lb-ft of torque... you can do it through Nitrous Express for under a grand...

its an ls1. yeah, they can handle upwards of a 150 shot depending on the setup you use. ive just never been a fan of nitrous or blowers. nothing against them, just not for me :).

anyway, i have a 1990 Honda CRX with a JDM B16a. it's the same 1.6 liter twin cam engine from the '99-01 Civic Si's. i have a BUNCH of shit done to it. it's not 'really' fast, but it's a pretty fun little car... handles like a go kart...

sounds like a fun little toy . i assume its turbo'd? any idea what your putting down?

:slappy: i believe i am in violation of 3 federal laws 4 state and atleast 1 federal trade agreement in not having a mullet. personally, id rather be bubba's prison bitch than sport one of those... "things". i like my hair short thank you .

I briefly owned a 944 turbo. I am just not a car guy. It was too small and too low to the ground for me. It drove like it was on rails though.
As for the Taurus I had to have a 4 door American made car for one job so I bought a Taurus SHO. That was one fast stealth car.

had a friend who ran a 150 shot in a WS6 that was bone stock... and know another guy who runs a 250 shot with some headwork and bolt ons. that LS1 is a bad mother.

no turbo, simply because you lose all reliability... i'm probably only putting down like 180, but you have to consider the fact that the car only weighs about 1850 lbs, so the power to weight ratio is pretty darn good... it's a high 14 second car...

edit: speaking of fast and furious, i met a cat last week who was driving a Ferrari F430. talk about sick. 4.3 liter V8 with 490 HP, and 0-60 in 4.0 seconds.

i have a new dream car. it is NOT practical, but for the performance it certainly is affordable. the Honda S2000 is my immediate 'next car' goal, but the long term dreams of a Ferrari or some other supercar has been modified. at any rate, may i present the Ariel Atom:

0-60 in UNDER three seconds. 0-100 in under SEVEN seconds! 0-100-0 in under 11 seconds! amazing! that's the kind of performance you get from the kinds of cars that used to run in the Columbus 500. and all those were strict race cars that were built on million dollar budgets.

here's a clip of a 0-100-0 run. (1:30)

here's a clip of Jeremy Clarkson driving an Atom on the BBC's Top Gear. (8.5 minutes)

all this at less than 1/10th the price of an Enzo, and quite literally HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars cheaper than every other car on that top ten list. PLUS, it's powered by Honda, so you know it's reliable. PLUS, it's STREET LEGAL. you gotta be kidding me. hell, i'll drive a beater every day for the rest of my life to be able to afford an Atom as a weekend car.

it may take a bit of time, but if i ever have a diposable $50,000 sitting around, i'm buying an Atom immediately.
