Your opinion of the FOX BCS show last night?

DallasBuckeye

All-American
there has been some conversation about Fox's BCS logo already -- did anyone else think the show last night fit the (low rent) logo pretty well?

the set was really cheesey, the graphics lame (except some of the Buckeye stuff) and who invited Barry Alvarez to the party? Barry in a bad tie isn't going to be mistaken for Keith Jackson any time soon.

the whole thing looked very low budget and just didn't seem very well done. not looking forward to Fox's bowl coverage...

Yep, which is a little surprising. Usually they have high rent graphics that end up overboard and gawdy.

The commentary was somewhat awkward... those two are calling the game?

Am I the only one whose Fox channel is of lower visual quality than the other big networks?

Always been the case for me.

Thought the Fox show and ESPN shows both sucked.

BTW, what was up with Rece Davis's eyes?

Looked like he'd just used Clorox for eye drops.

It sucked. SUCKED. SUCKED. SUCKED.

There weren't nearly enough sound effects or robots.

Best Damn's Chris Rose? Were Tom Arnold or John Salley not available?

Has Charles Davis ever sat in a TV studio before? His wooden delivery and his 'here's my made for TV smile I've been practicing in front of the mirror at home for the past three months since I got this gig' all were a mere sideshow to his best Peter Brady imitation. When your ESPN counterpart, Lou Holtz, is more articulate than you, you've got major issues!

And good 'ole Barry Alverez. He was Moobs before anyone had ever heard of Chuck Amato, being just a pair of shades and gaudy Nikes shy as he prowled the Badger sideline in his white golf shirts and cherry red pants. Always a paragon of fashion sense, he shows up for his major prime time TV appearance wearing a tie that even Digger Phelps would've had the sense to throw away.

horrible show and you can easily tell it was all scripted.
the gators already knew they was in the title game
no visual reaction from michigan, auburn or whoever else that didn't make it.
The SHow = just another tactic for fox to show worthless tv commercials.
The SHow = 10 minutes of nothing. 20 minutes of commercials

Way too many commercials. Average coverage at best.

Anyone find out how the LA Times all ready knew that Ohio State was playing Florida in the BCS Championship game? I noticed that ESPN made a point of noted that information prior to the Fox show.

Horrible, terrible, abominable, awful. Problem is Fox is the one with all the money, because all of their Who Wants to Bang Your Sister Behind Your Cousin's Back reality shows cost about 10 cents to produce and rake in gobs of money, so we're basically stuck forever with them.
