Your thoughts about your favorite TV shows' finale?

I'm surprised the only thread regarding current run TV shows is the one that dates back to the debut of Lost. So what shows did you get hooked on this season, and what did you think of [insert show here]'s finale?

Desperate Housewives? 24? House? American Idol? ANYTHING?!?!

I got hooked on House. When House debuted, I refused to watch it because I figured it was just another hospital drama. Damn, I'm glad I gave in and caught an episode. Hugh Laurie deserves an Emmy just for his flawless American accent alone.

Oh ... Bo Bice better win AI tonight, he's the lesser of two evils. If Fembot takes the grand prize I'll be disappointed ... the girl can't even walk and sing at the same time.

24 ... disappointed. I can suspend my disbelief long enough to not care that nobody ever eats or goes to the restroom, but where the show loses me is that it seems like everything is a 5 minute drive from CTU. Mexican border? check. Nevada desert? check. Hell, CTU is set in LA, so there's a plausibility problem with the fact that they can even get a Suburban in-and-out of a parking garage in 5 minutes.

They do stretch credibility at times. And the acting president is just too much of a loser. The last time Marwan escaped, I saw it coming and said how can they be so stupid? And the ending with Jack was no surprise, either. I don't plan on watching if it comes back next year.

Finalist on American Idol. I'd never watched a single episode until my girlfriend moved in with me. I've since lost TV remote control priviledges for Tuesday and Wednesday nights from January through May since about midway through Season 3.

Well, first, I don't think Jack was in Mexico yet, and if he was, then it was in the future, like as an epilogue. That's the least important thing though of the whole season.. it's the end. If he was already in Mexico then it was later that day (it's happened before at the end of the season that they show a couple of hours in the future), if not, then he was just walking somewhere.

I think they do a fine job with suspension of time, really, because things that can't be known in 24 hours (like, is the president ok?) aren't. We don't know if the president is okay for sure, we don't know about Behrooz becasue they were being examined. The first episode of season 5 will address this. They have eaten before on 24 episodes, they drink coffee and water and all that good stuff. Going to the bathroom can be explained easily, they go in between scenes. Who would want to see that anyway? I've seen them eat snacks while driving at times, they just don't stop to eat lunch because time is ALWAYS of the essence. I think they do an OK job.

Nevada.. uhm, they have agents everywhere so I'm pretty sure the people who shot it down weren't Jack or Curtis or anybody like that, but I could be wrong. Am I wrong?

It was a great ending. The first real happy ending in 24 history, at least, the happiest.

The people in 24 probably eat during times when other scenes are being shown or during commercials. I don't expect that counter-terrorism agents would sit down for an hour lunch on a day when the country is being attacked, so that seems pretty realistic to me. I do feel that too many of the LA locations are 5-10 minutes away for Jack, but I don't think that was actually Mexico that they showed him in at the end. It was just some place in LA.

I was disappointed by how they ended the missle threat. So they learned it was headed to LA and that allows them to calculate a 30-mile area where it could be. Then the jet is able to locate and destroy it. Shouldn't the jet have been looking there anyway? I would've thought that the fighter jets in every city would be searching under the assumption that it was headed to their city.

All in all a good show, and I'll definitely keep watching.

Yeah, but the show still sucks. I can't believe this whole reality show craze has lasted as long as it has.

Idol is entertaining. My wife watches it with the kids because they love music and dancing so I have to watch by default. It's amusing but it's also a money maker. and yeah... Bo should win :)

Since we no longer have HBO I started watching Grey's Anatomy on Sunday's. I like they show but it's hard to look at Patrick Dempsey without seeing him as the pizza delivery guy from that 80's movie that sleeps with all the married woman to make money for college . I like how they ended the show for the season... kind suprising that he's married.

ER... I can stop watching now that Carter is gone. He was only reason to watch the show as it's really gone down hill the last few years.

I can't wait for LOST tonight!

Although I dig Idol(congrats Carrie, you beautiful thing), the best part was it was a lead in to House. I've been very surprised by this show. Gregory House rocks.

CSI's season finale was pretty good. Nick Stokes was kidnapped and buried alive with. The coffin was fixed with a webcam and a remote transmitter, a handful of chem lights, a tape recorder with a message for him, and he was given his weapon with one round in it. The crime lab could actually see him in the coffin. The name escapes me, but it was directed by someone famous. I think the guy who did Clockwork Orange or something.

Carrie Underwood is going to be a huge "item." Her marketability is limitless. She is the best singer they've ever had on the show, and on top of that, the most physically attractive. Once she gets out from under the "Idol" scope and focuses solely on Country Music, She'll be the next Trisha Yearwood. Same shit with Bo Bice. When I hear him, I hear Travis Tritt, pure Country. I definately would have paid to hear Bo sing Travis's "Drift Off To Dream."

"House" is the best TV show I've seen since the beginning of "Crossing Jordan." These are the only two that I make it a point to watch every week. The "House" finale was okay, The "Crosssing Jordan" finale just left me pissed off to have to wait till fall to find out WTF.

I agree with everything you said about AI. Carrie and Bo both are going to be filthy rich by this time next year.

House and Medium are the only shows I watch religously. Medium's finale pissed me off for being the first of a two part show. It left with one of the characters intentionally cutting the wires to his temporary pace maker in an effort to die and give Allison info from beyond.

Quentin Tarrantino is the one who directed the season finale of CSI. The guy that directed A Clockwork Orange, Stanley Kubrick, died about 5-6 years ago. I must admit, I have never really watched CSI before but did watch the finale and was glued to the set. There were some definite Tarrantino moments in the show (especially the dream about his own autopsy). Not only did he direct it, the whole storyline for the finale was his idea, it was great. Now I will be sure to catch some older CSI re-runs that Spike TV airs.
