'08 MD WR Kenny Tate (Maryland signee)

He's got a former teammate at Illinois, and LJ will probably be recruiting him for PSU. Hopefully that fact that we were his first offer will hold a lot of weight, but I'm not too confident going against PSU for a Maryland player..

Great looking athlete though; looks every bit of 6'4 and very fast.

Been waiting on an update on Tate for a while...eventhough this isn't much of one:

Does anyone have any idea why this guy seems to be flying kind of under the radar so much? Grade problems? Putting recruiting on hold for some reason?

For a guy who many consider to be in the top 10 players in the country, this recruitment has been strangely very quiet. There have been next to no updates on him and I don't even think he's been mentioned on the two OSU sites that I pay for. Just curious. Thanks.

He is a star basketball player as well as football at DeMatha so that could be a reason...

Other than that not really sure...

Might be time to start considering saving your money... Don't forget your yearly dues of $77 (plus a smile) is due sometime soon, payable to CleveBucks.

Film.

My take: Very versatile player that DeMatha uses all over the field. Shows great hands. I like the idea of him as a safety but I think he will undoubtedly outgrow that position, considering he is already listed at 6-foot-4 215 lbs. Does not show the greatest speed, but will porbably be more of a Michael Jenkins type receiver at the next level. If he could get with someone like Butch Reynolds, he has the size and tools to become a Mike Williams-type receiver.

 I don't know if he could become a burner like Mike Williams but he would definatly benifit from going to school in the SEC or at USC. JUST STAY OUT OF THE MIDWEST!:wink2:

I agree with all of this...Him and Scott are the type of guys that would come in with the WR tag, but could play on offense or defense....
