'08 OH WR Cordale Scott (Illinois Signee; Transfer to Toledo)

Great point about some kids not knowing how to get a great start in a 40 for the best time. A technique thing.
Track guys will usually do better.
One would think the Scott would know how to get a good start .

Congrats to Cordale! He'll look great in S&G. Anyone know much about his style? Is he more physical like Boston or more like Jenkins?

Plenty of talk about his style of play and video review if you sift back through that last five pages...

I'll sum it up for you since it's annoying to sift back through the pages...

I believe the most common comparison was Dwayne Jarrett, with possibly an even higher ceiling.

I'm not sure that's a great/fair comparison simply because it sets up an unbelievable hype that would be hard for ANYONE to live up to.

Great news!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Wad and many that it is only a matter of when and with him being from the "Ville" he will probably follow the same pattern...

I honestly don't like the Jarrett comparison, but really unsure who I would compare him to at this point...He only measured in at 6'3'' but is extremely fast for his size and has great leaping ability...I have heard Fitzgerald, but I wonder if he isnt faster than Fitz, but I would compare his ball skills to Fitz...

This is also a guy that could end up outgrowing WR and end up somewhere on D...

Congrats to Mr.Scott but just curious, earlier in the thread there was mention that the offer hold up might be due to grades, is there a good chance that the offer is contingent on his grades being in order?

Ugh, i hate when people assume that making comparisons is saying he is as good as Jarrett.

When I compare people, i compare them on how they play, and their body type in general, not necessarily how good they are.

And I had thought he was 6'4 -6'5, not 6'3? Either way, he's very long, and is a "tall" receiver.

In reality aren't they all? He did just take the ACT, maybe he received a score that calmed some of that anxiety. Glenville kids usually don't have "grade problems" they have ACT problems.

When you say more of a ceiling, that does in fact imply that he could be BETTER than Jarret.

His official measurment was near 6-5 at the AA combine...I really like this offer. Scott and Posey would be a tremendous WR class...Floyd and Tate would be awesome but I like how we're not putting our eggs all in one basket here.
