Does anyone think Boeckman will get drafted, after what has happened so far this season? Many were projecting him to be a mid round pick, than he started off the year less than stellar against Youngstown State, Ohio and USC. If anything, I see him as an undrafted free agent at this point. Its kind of sad, the guy has given a lot to the program and now really doesn't have a chance to make it to the NFL anymore.

Some notes that i saw on the game. Pryor is an amazing runner, we know this. With him and beanie in the game there seems to be more holes. Our receivers looked to get a little more separation; however i dont think pryor saw this all the time. I was at the game, there were some plays where hartline or a TE was wide open and pryor seemed hesitant to throw. His deep ball is actually pretty good; the fade to ROBO in the endzone was pretty much untouchedable save for robo. His mid-distance passes seemed to have a bit too much air on them; maybe this is a coaching flaw sense TB seemed to have similar throws??

Pryor is the guy and will be the guy. His passing does need improvement, but he looked much more improved this game than last, and im sure the same will continue. ( i thought MN defense better than troys)

ANy thoughts?

I definately think every time Pryor plays, he's getting better. I saw some amazing burst through the hole yesterday like I hadn't seen yet out of TP, so that is very encouraging...looks like his comfort level and confidence continue to rise.

As for the passing, he missed some open guys, but that happens sometimes. He's actualy pretty good at scrambling around and finding guys open though, especially for a frosh. His maturity is amazing. He never seems to panic. I'm anxious to see him progress with putting some more zip on those longer throws. They do hang a little. I think as long as the game is close and we aren't forced into throwing every down, TP will be fine. I'm a little concerned though how he might do if we get down by a few possessions and he needs to throw us down the field in a hurry. Just my 2 cents.

There's nothing unique about Ohio State's '08 QB shuffle

WELCOME, Jim Tressel, to Lee Owens' world. A college football team, carrying high expectations after losing just two games the previous season, benches its senior quarterback - a captain to boot.
This soap opera-ish plotline, playing out these days in Columbus, gives us heralded Ohio State freshman Terrelle Pryor in the lead role of "92008" - the date he wrestled control of the Buckeyes' attack from returning starter Todd Boeckman - and should sound more than vaguely familiar to Ashland University players and their fans.
That's pretty much how things went down - the operative word, in Ashland's case, being "down" - for Owens' Eagles in 2006.
Owens, who spent time at Massillon and Lancaster before cutting his college coaching teeth as an OSU assistant, was coming off a 9-2 season, his first winning campaign in Ashland. He could stand pat or stir the pot. Turns out, he didn't so much stir or shake as agitate.
In at quarterback was junior transfer John Ferguson. Out was three-year starter Nick Strance, a captain from Willard. Sounds cold, but Owens wrestled mightily with the decision.
"It was one of the most difficult moves I ever had to make," Owens said. "Part of it was that Nick had gotten hurt in the preseason and our other guys moved ahead."
Injury didn't cost Boeckman his job at Ohio State, unless you buy into the fractured psyche theory. His prolonged slump reached its nadir in the 35-3 loss at USC, prompting the move to Pryor. The Buckeyes are 2-0 since the switch.
Ashland, conversely, started 0-2 after its shuffle - no thanks to a murderous schedule - and finished 4-6. The switch would eventually bear fruit. In the short term, nothing but rotten tomatoes.

Wow good job... Those are some very telling stats...

Anyone have any thoughts on why there are so many more penalties with Boeckman? That's a huge difference right there, and unless I'm mistaken, neither Boeckman nor Pryor have any penalties.

Pryor has been charged with one "delay of game" penalty in each of the last 3 games. Boeckman had an intentional grounding call against USC.

COLUMBUS -- When Ohio State went five straight drives without scoring in the middle of the game at Wisconsin on Saturday, the Buckeyes stuck with Terrelle Pryor at quarterback. According to quarterbacks coach Joe Daniels, that doesn't mean Todd Boeckman will never see the field again. "It's not a matter of we're going to ride out Terrelle no matter what," Daniels said Wednesday. "If we feel that there are things that Todd can do better than Terrelle, then he's going to be in there."
It apparently didn't reach that point against the Badgers, and Pryor went on to lead the winning drive.
"I think it depends on the game itself," Daniels said. "We honestly and truthfully haven't gone into these games and said it's going to be Terrelle's game and Todd is not going to get a chance. It's just a feel sort of thing."
Speaking to reporters for the first time since Pryor took over the starting role from Boeckman after the USC loss, Daniels has seen a lot he's liked from his freshman quarterback.

"He's unflappable," Daniels said. "The things he does, it's like that's just natural for him.
"He doesn't get shook. And he makes mistakes. You maybe can't see them, obviously we know when he hasn't done this or hasn't done that. But I think he has confidence in himself."

It looks like OSU was trying a hurry up / no huddle with TB. With Pryor the went back to a huddle and more traditional pace. I think they ask TB to do more with cadence of the game then Pryor.

I dont understand why they wont even give Todd a series...the last time they did, TB played quite well (i think it was two games ago). I know JT wants to get pryor all the experience, but at some point we will need TB.
