The vitriolic soapbox by Sharp in the studio:

Rodriguez addresses Dorsey Questions (Press conference audio)

As a reporter, RR deserves to get taken to task for how this appears, but this is remarkably unprofessional and immature by Drew Sharp, which is par for the course. I skimmed the second link, it appears most of the outlandish stuff is in the studio.

Congratulations Drew Sharp, you've made Jim Rome & Papadapapakaouaiuksuiskuis sound reasonable.

Sharp is rediculously annoying, always has been. I did a back flip when he finally left 97.1 in Detroit and went to 1130, and I've never done that in my life. His reasoning rarely makes sense.

337805. Dorsey getting so much hate
by bb011, 2/5/10 15:14 ET And NONE of it is from UofM fans....see a pattern here? The state and other fans are jealous that we got him....they don't have anyone with this much potential. Even if we can't utilize him at safety or on defense immedietely i have a feeling he will be able to take kick returns and run circles around a lot of these teams. 4.25? Crazy fast right there. So instead of congratulating us...they go the other route and try to bring how good this signing was by bringing up anything bad at all. Way to take the high road state and other fans....

They're acting like this guy is a 5*, blue chip, #1 rated prospect. He's not. Scout's #19 safety and rival's #14. Good prospect? Sure. I never even heard about this guy until he became Beaver's flavor of the week and I was shocked to see where he was rated based on all the hullabaloo over on their boards about him.

ESPN's "easier-to-understand" Scouts, Inc. rated him the #2 safety, and the #12 overall player, so that explains some of the hullabaloo.

Shocking that e!SECpn would be the outlier for a long time Gator commit.

I never look at their recruiting info. It's comically bad.

I'm just trying to imagine him inside a classroom at such a prestigious academic institution as Michigan.

You get to picture him in that classroom sitting next to your kid if you are the parent of an actual scUM student. Or better yet, you get to picture him and your kid in a social setting like at a bar, or a party, with alcohol. Then there is always the chance you get to picture him being in the wrong place at the wrong time again, like the back sliding glass door to your kids apartment.

Yeah, I actually agree with Beav on this one. Only a scUM fan with an anti RR agenda would be saying anything negative about bringing in such a talented player.

You don't have to guess which all-star game he played in either...
Both scout and rivals have their flaws and agenda driven evaluators, but at least they have some positive aspects. e!SECpn is so comically bad across the board and flat out biased that I pay them no mind whatsoever for recruiting. Explain to me how neither scout nor rivals sees him as any higher than a top 14 player at his position, yet e!SECpn has him as the #12 player overall. Come on. I've just watched his highlight tapes, he shows some ability no doubt, but reading some evaluations on him, there is no way he's a top 50 player overall, yet alone #12 like the "worldwide leader" would have you believe. I understand all the services have their agendas, but don't be so blatantly biased. Where would he be ranked if he was never a Gator commit?

you have to log practice time before you can be found guilty of practicing to much. Rich Rod is the smartest man in the business.

way to go coach! if you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin. If you ain't first, you're last.
