I love this kids game! He'd be an ideal Star at Ohio State IMO... He won't make a living in coverage but he has some decent ball skills & can really bring the lumber... Best when coming forward as he can break down & make the attack point much nearer the line of scrimmage than most... Plus he has the athleticism to make those open field tackles (with authority)... I'd love to see OSU get more involved here...

Wright goes to the same personal trainer and is a regular workout partner of Roderick Smith. There doesn't seem to be much interest from the OSU side at this time...

Spartans offer Indiana RB
MSU has also extended a scholarship offer to Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Dwenger running back Remound Wright. The 5-9, 190-pounder rushed for 2,049 yards as a junior and scored 40 touchdowns. Wright has also received scholarships from Iowa, Indiana and Minnesota.

Wright has already been to the East Lansing campus twice in the past year. He attended a summer camp in 2009 and was at the MSU/Michigan football game in October. Wright will likely be one of the top running back prospects in the Big Ten region for the class of 2011.

Martin has offers piling up
February 22, 2010
By Eric Guimaraes

DB Pat Martin (6-0 200) of JL Mann has offers from Duke, Maryland, Minnesota, Arkansas, and UCLA. He is also hearing from Clemson, USC, Alabama, Florida, FSU, Oregon, Georgia, and Georgia Tech. Martin did not make either Clemson or USC's junior days but likes both schools. "Clemson is a good school," said Martin. "They have good facilities and do a good job putting players in the NFL. It's close to home so if I was to play there, my family, friends, and girlfriend could come watch me play." He also likes USC. "I know some really good guys down there like Stephon Gilmore and they got a good team with a bright future. South Carolina also plays in the best conference in football in the country." Martin has already visited Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Duke. He says he plans to camp this summer at a couple of schools but has nothing finalized yet. As a junior, Martin had 92 tackles, two interceptions returning one for a touchdown, four forced fumbles, and 12 pass break ups. He does not have any favorites.

Ten at 10: Walls adds 6 offers, but still not the one he covets
10:04 am February 23, 2010, by Chip Towers

THE TEN AT 10:

1. In the last week Avery Walls has added six new offers to his fast-growing list of scholarship opportunities ? Ole Miss, Virginia, Cal, Maryland, LSU and Michigan State. But he still hasn?t gotten one from the school atop his wish list. The Union Grove defensive back took a trip to Austin last week to check out the University of Texas, and that validated the Longhorns as his dream team. ?They really rolled out the red carpet for me out there,? Walls said. ?They gave me a quick little tour of the school, I met a distinguished professor, I talked to some of their academic staff. I had the pleasure of meeting the president of the university, President William Powers, in his office. He was really passionate about the school and about athletics and was just a really great guy. They showed me the dorm rooms and they were bigger than my room at home. And they have a mini-mall at the bottom of the dorm, on the first floor. . . . It was great.? While Walls came away impressed, he did not come away with a UT offer. Coach Mack Brown was out of town tending to his sick mother and he is the only one who can extend offers at Texas.
