Phil Steele is an absolute numbers wonk who loves to dig into every possible statistical analysis to project BCS Championship contenders.
Today he released his "Top 14 with best chance to win the BCS in 2013"

It's numbers upon stats upon data upon figures but it's worth a read if you're a "MoneyBall" type of fan.

Before you guffaw with laughter at the additions of ND, Vandy and Northwestern, note that Steele always misses on a few of these and takes some statistical long shots. Last years list included Nebraska and Michigan State and didn't include Notre Dame.
