I can understand putting Taco up high based on upside even though he's not any good right now. Gareon Conley over Jalin Marshall or even Dymonte, someone needs to explain that to me. Kid isn't even close to the player or athlete either are.

Zeke the Freak is brutally low. I would have to think these ratings are not taking the recent Nike camp into play. Elliot bested the #1 RB, and earned MVP honors.

Edit: I guess Isaac is the #7 RB on Scout but you get the point.

It still amazes me how many sites take quantity over quality. Any team can load up on 3-4* commits (cough, cough scUM). But recruit rating average is what gives you the best idea of the strength of that class. I'd put more stock in said rankings if that were the case, even if it means my Buckeyes don't crack the top 5 every year, and occasionally end up behind scUM.

Rankings, smankings. It's about feeling our needs! :oh:

I feel ya.:io:

I do wonder if this is the year that tOSU gets a lot of love at the HS All Star games..I seem to remember Florida getting a bunch of commits at the UA one once when UFM was there...or maybe it was just a bunch of sec love I'm not sure.

I would seriously doubt that we get love from US because they're sponsored by espn, and they have they heads too far up the sec's arse. Espn rankings usually have us far lower than others. The army all american game may show us more love. But to be honest those all star games don't mean a thing when most players barely get valuable time to do much. For example: a rb that gets 6 carries can't be expected to do much when sharing carries with 4 other rbs and sometimes a dual threat qb.

Free Rivals - Rivals100: Eight new five-stars unveiled

While eight new prospects earned their coveted fifth star, three fell from the ranks. Trotwood (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison cornerback Cameron Burrows, Beaverton (Ore.) Aloha running back Thomas Tyner and Whitewright, Texas quarterback Tyrone Swoopes all dropped down to four-star status.

"Burrows was outstanding last fall while leading his team to a state title. He played fluidly and with outstanding athleticism for his size. This offseason, however, we saw a combination of low effort and a loss of fluidity from the 6-foot, 200-plus pound defensive back," Helmholdt said. "A player his size has to stay fluid through the hips to stay with elite wide receivers. By the time he showed up at Gridiron Kings in late July, he was really struggling and gave up a ton of completions."

Free Rivals - Rivals100: Making big moves

Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (Clemson), Cleveland Heights, Ohio wide receiver Shelton Gibson and Seffner (Fla.) Armwood wide receiver Alvin Bailey also made nice jumps, showing that while this isn't a top-heavy year at their position, it is a deep one.

"Gibson was a ghost all offseason until he showed up at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights event in late July," Helmholdt said. "It was apparent there that he had not spent the entire offseason on the couch. Gibson came in thicker and stronger than we last saw him in the fall. It was his speed that was truly eye-catching, though. He was so fast down the field that the quarterbacks at the event underthrew him all night long and never were able to adjust to his speed."
