I find a new level of hatred for them every single day. I hate them more today than I hated them yesterday, and I will hate them more tomorrow than I do today. My hate for them is boundless, yet it keeps growing.

This line of defense would be idiotic even if it was true, which it is not. It‘s like being on trial for murder, and beginning your opening statement with “Charles Manson is responsible for far more heinous crimes than I am.”

Can't wait for this tweet to be referenced in next year's notice of infractions for lack of institutional control. Because as of today we know officially Ono has sat across the table from the NCAA and was told they "knew and could prove" a multi-year cheating scheme of "unprecedented scope" occurred under Jim's watch. And he chose to continue to openly defy the NCAA and conference.

Have to somewhat disagree with you there Jax. There can always be MORE hate for those cockweasels. Bear with me here....
I'm a third generation Buckeye. I'm in my mid 60s. My Grandfather graduated from OSU. When I was just a little Buckeye sprout he would set me on his knee and tell stories about seeing some guy named Chic Harley play. Both of my parents ( RIP) were OSU grads, it's where they met. My older sister is an OSU grad, As for me, I started at OSU and discovered quite quickly that I just didn't have the maturity and self discipline for college at the time ( hey, it was the 70s, 'nuff said.), and chose another path ( one of the great regrets of my life.) Both of my children are OSU grads.
My point in that is from the day I was born every fiber of my being has been conditioned to hate everything about that God forsaken place up north. That hate is pure. That hate is righteous. That hate is just. That hate burns with the fire of 1000 suns. I take comfort in that hate. That hate helps sustain me and is part of who I am and everyone around me knows it. BUT.....
I live just a couple miles south of the border in the area the "Toledo War" was fought over. The area we call "The DMZ." There are many of the Evil Empire's minions here. Just on a daily basis, every time I see one of their bumper stickers or license plates, the rage increases. Every time I'm at the store and see someone wearing those disgusting colors, The hate intensifies. It grows, it festers. So yes, there can always be room for MORE hate, because there is no such thing as too much hate for them.

To your larger point though, they also won't have Stalions on the sideline either. They won't be able to see a four wideout formation on the 15 with CJ Stroud and 4 future NFL receivers and know to bring up both their safeties to the line because they know it's a run. Or against the pedsters, they won't be defending a 4th and 1 at midfield and know drop both their safeties into coverage (something no sane DC would do) because they know that Franklin is going to throw deep.

And perhaps our team lost its emotional edge in the second half of 21 and 22 because they were frustrated that their opponents seemed to know their every move and were always in perfect position. That would have to drain the energy out of even the best team.

Losing Simple Jim is something. Losing Stalions is everything.

As much as I'd love to agree, while the man himself is gone, his methods still remain somewhere in the building. You are correct about the victim role, but they've spun that into "everyone hates us because they ain't us as well". They're simultaneously both, the victimhood coming after their bullshit is called out.

They've added the villainous layer with the attempt at legal threats and faux "evidence" against others teams for sign stealing as well. Aggression AND victimhood is a very strange combination.


This is a great learning lesson for Day though. Much like Tress, you have to keep a secret playbook with calls you slowly work to add to the offense every week throughout the season.
The defensive signals are much more alarming though. Incredibly difficult to run those in with a player like you would a receiver with an offensive call.

Ultimately coach Rhule is correct, I need a QB radio and a green dot on defense.

Oct. 18: The NCAA notifies the Big Ten and Michigan that it had received allegations the Wolverines were involved in a sign-stealing scheme and had allegedly sent representatives to games to scout future opponents, which has been prohibited by NCAA rules since 1994. The Big Ten said it had notified Michigan's future opponents of the allegations.

"The Big Ten Conference considers the integrity of competition to be of utmost importance and will continue to monitor the investigation," the conference said in a statement.

In a statement, Harbaugh denied being involved or having knowledge of the scheme.

"I do not have any knowledge or information regarding the University of Michigan football program illegally stealing signals, nor have I directed any staff member or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment," Harbaugh said.

Oct. 19: ESPN reports that Connor Stalions, a Wolverines off-field analyst and retired captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, is at the center of the NCAA's investigation into alleged sign stealing. Sources told ESPN that NCAA enforcement staff sought access to Stalions' computer.

A source told ESPN that the Wolverines have used an "elaborate" scouting system to steal signals from future opponents since at least 2021.

Michigan announced the next day that it had suspended Stalions with pay pending the conclusion of the investigation.

The NCAA made it clear they were involved in building the B1Gs case, and watching tCun receive the B1G notice and immediately file for an injunction in Federal Court is a slap in the face to both governing bodies.
The scUM b'ball and football programs are out of control, and the day the NCAA issues its findings may be the darkest day in tCun's history. If they don't step back and get some perspective soon, they are going to regret their actions for a very long time.
