#6 Tennessee +4.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 134.5 ) Fri 7:07 ET, CBS

This loss hurts more because it came at the hands of another SEC team than anything. It just adds more fuel to the fire (fark you ESPN). I hope MSU bludgeons UT into a fine paste, rolls them into a cigar and blazes up in the locker room after they win. Our guys did what they could with what they had. I'm proud of them and beyond impressed by how they salvaged what could have been a horrible season. Everybody better look out the next few years in football and basketball.

Hey all. Die-hard TN fan here. I don't post often, but I guess I needed to tell everyone OSU put up a more than respectable fight. I've watched near every Vol game this year, and the two games that really stood out to me were the early season Purdue game and this game. So as someone who consistently cheers on the SEC, a guy I'm sure you all hate, the Big 10 has been the most impressive conference I've seen this year. Unfortunately, we have to play another one of you bastards in a couple days. But I am extremely proud of our players for putting us where no Tennessee team has been before. IMHO, the difference was points in the paint. But also, I hope everyone can appreciate the efforts of team leaders in this game. Chism and Turner both just went OFF in the second half, it was incredible to watch two leaders carry their teams on repeated possessions. Good luck to all next year (anyone want a rematch?)...and f*ck Michigan.

OK, now that I have been able to sleep off the disappointment of last nights loss, I just have to say that these guys played their butts off in that game. TN was just a bit better last night.

The biggest complaint I have about the game was the piss poor officiating, and it was on both sides of the ball. Whomever those refs were should be barred from NCAA tournament games as a majority of the calls they made were anticipation calls, and there were plenty of obvious fouls never called. It takes something away from the game when poor officiating helps to determine the outcome of said game. Even if OSU would have pulled it off, I would still feel the same way.

Anyway, it was a tough loss, but I still am proud of what this team accomplished this year. Thanks for the great season!!:osu:

Gotta give Tennessee credit for pounding the ball inside so effectively, and for two fine defensive plays against ET in the final 20 seconds.

I would have liked to have seen a completed pass out to ET after the rare offensive rebound with about 13 seconds left (rather than the stolen bounce pass), and seen what would have happened.

sepia, the Diebs poke of the ball that was called a foul occurred when tOSU had a 2-point lead.

The more I think about the game, the less willing I am to blame the refs. Yes, the refs were horrible, but the biggest nail in our coffin was a lack of bench. Matta, it appears, just didn't feel confident jamming up the lanes to try and draw charges with nobody to back up Lighty, Diebler or ET should they get into foul trouble in the process.

Oh well, great season. Bright future.

I am very disappointed OSU lost. I dont know if I have ever been this distraught over a OSU BBALL loss. This hurts. I am probably in the minority here, but I did not think the officiating was that bad. Yes there were some questionable calls, but I believe they went both ways. Like most on here have said, the Bucks got owned in the paint. No rebounding at all. Also, Diebs picked a bad night to go cold. If he could of connected on just one of those....

This is a very good team, like ET said "you hate to go out like that...". I agree, and I really would love to see him come back for his last year. I will understand if he does not, and I will not blame him. He gave OSU all he had this year and I thank him for such an amazing season and being able to enjoy watching him. Thank you Evan Turner!

Go Buckeyes! Only about 160 days until football!!
