Conley had made 4 of his first 21 3-point attemps, and has now made 4 of his last 5. Great to see. Makes him so much more dangerous.

Exactally he was taking about 1-2 a game and when you go out and miss 1 3 in 4 straight games it hurts your confidence...

He has a sweet stroke and if they are going to lay off of him like they do and go under the screens he needs to make them pay...

He also needs to work on his dunking a lil as well...:tongue2:

I thought it was kinda cool to see him and Lewis laughing about it tho as there has been rumors about the upperclassmen and underclassmen in terms of jealousy...

I think the problem had been between Jamar Butler and Mike Conley.

I was watching a few games back and Conley yelled something to Butler, I believe it had to do with something he noticed the other team doing that Butler could use to exploit. Butler looked at him with a confused face, kinds of like "Who are you to be telling me what I should do". I hope the team is 'jelling' a little better by now.

As Conley was gingerly getting back up, I couldn't help but think of Tony Allen blowing out his knee a couple of weeks ago on a dunk after the whistle. Glad to see Conley didn't hurt himself.

9.8 for the effort, 2.6 for the style. :tongue2:

I hear ya there, but I think it has been a whole upperclassmen underclassmen deal...

I think they are starting to get it together now and Matta is teaching them well, thanks to StadiumDorms criticism of him...

I wouldn't be surprised if it has hit each upperclassman at some point or another. It can't be easy to have freshman schooling you at something you've done 3 years more than they have!

Exactally...I think it hit Lewis after he had a huge game against UNC and then Oden came back and he was getting all the attention after Lewis was getting all big ten first team talk after that game...

Either way it is great to see them gelling like they did last nite...I really think that 3 by Lewis against Tennessee was a way for the underclassmen to say hey we really need these guys in these big games and the upperclassmen a chance to realize they need to step up and lead these young guys and then the team as a whole can go far...

I know its just Northwestern but it finally appeared that we got our offense back. I've been very frustrated watching us try and feed Oden every time down the court the past few weeks to the point where we have forgotten what we are good at. Tonight they made some strides at getting the offense back in gear. Greg should not be forgotten by any means but incorporate him into our style of offense instead of changing to fit Greg, thats where I think we can make a serious run in the tourney.

I totally agree! After watching our guys light it up from the perimeter against UNC I've been a little bummed watching them constantly try to get it inside to Oden. Don't get me wrong, I think Oden adds a ton to this team and is probably the key if we want to get far in the tourney. But I think that we need to be a perimeter team first and that'll open up the inside for Oden and Hunter. These guys are great at cleaning up the boards and altering shots on D, but offensively, our strength is definately the perimeter game. Now that Butler and Conley are starting to hit and gain confidence...to go along with Cook and Harris and Lewis shooting the rock...man, I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about the possibilities!
