#7 Ohio State 73, Northwestern 41 (Final)

Anyone else watching the game think Thad Matta's father kind of looked like John Cooper? They flashed on a guy and said he was a new Ohio State fan. I thought it was Cooper at first. Either I need glasses or a new TV set.

That's what I thought!!!

Hell even when they said that it was Thad Matta's dad I was looking closer to make sure they had the right guy....

Although I think cooper has more hair on the top of his head....

Well, that was too easy. Please tell me the rest of the Big Ten isn't as awful as I think it is.

Tonight was easy, but NW is easily the least talented team in the Big Ten, but looking at the remaining schedule, I feel like it is basically a two game regular season for this team.....at Michigan State and at home against Wisky.

Yup. I felt at the beginning of the season, the four toughest games would be the Wisconsin games, @ MSU, and @ Illinois. The latter turned out to be a dud.

I didn't expect the Indiana game to be as difficult. We would have been in trouble playing in Bloomington.

Finally.

I know its just Northwestern but it finally appeared that we got our offense back. I've been very frustrated watching us try and feed Oden every time down the court the past few weeks to the point where we have forgotten what we are good at. Tonight they made some strides at getting the offense back in gear. Greg should not be forgotten by any means but incorporate him into our style of offense instead of changing to fit Greg, thats where I think we can make a serious run in the tourney. I'd like to see Twig get a little more time here and there also. Let Greg see what the offense is doing from time to time from the bench and find his way into the rhythm. On defense there was nothing to complain about tonight. I would like to see less turnovers from us but thats just nitpicking a little.

What I really liked about that is that we got all your wisdom for only $49.95, regularly...whoops, sorry, wrong board, sorry, the depth of insight was so familiar that, I know, I should have noticed that the post wasn't preceded by a LloydSev poem, sorry, really, I am...

Buckeyes crush Northwestern

COLUMBUS ? There was tough defense, sharp passing and good 3-point shooting.
Yep, that Northwestern style of play worked well Wednesday night at the Schottenstein Center. For Ohio State, that is.

OSU wins battle of freshman stars

Oden cuts his beard and then he and his youthful teammates cut Northwestern down to size

By Marla Ridenour

COLUMBUS - Greg Oden's creativity with a razor trimmed not only his beard but years off his appearance.
Now Ohio State coach Thad Matta thinks he might be taken for 19, which he turns in four days, instead of 40.

Buckeyes breeze past Wildcats

Columbus- Why did Ohio State's Greg Oden shout and smile while throwing down a two-handed dunk off a Mike Conley lob with two seconds left in the first half Wednesday night?
To keep from yawning.
