#9 Wichita St +4.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 129.5) Sat 7:05 CBS

First off, hats off to W State. Will be rooting for them to win it all.

Second, so proud of my Buckeyes. They did not play well today but they never gave up. The way they played the last third of the season was just incredible. Fortunately, lots of guys coming back next year.

Elite 8 is nothing to be ashamed of like Tanner said. Again, despite the loss; I am proud of the way this team has faced adversity all year.

Good night everyone on BP.

...They nearly proved me right despite being down by 20.

24% though. Shit that's "God hates you" terrible.

I was doing cycling training today and was on my way home when checked the late score on my iPhone and we were down 14 or so with around 7-8 minutes left...I didn't know that we were down by 20 at one point. If we shot that fucking badly, were down by 20, and still rallied to only lose by four, that shows fantastic resiliency.

At some point in time Matta needs to get a team over then top. Granted I didn't expect if to be this team, but losing to a 9 seed with a trip to the final four on the Line really hurts as a 2 seed.

Its a fitting ending to the season IMO. Losses to: Duke, Kansas (at home), 20 point beat down by Illinois and splits with Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan State, as well as two close ones against Northwestern.

This Buckeye bball team wasn't nearly one of the most talented teams we have seen in the last few years under Matta. The team did however have hell of a lot of heart to close out the regular season strong with a #2 finish in the league as well as winning the conference tournament, and then all the way to the Elite Eight. We just didn't have what it takes to get all the way to 'Ship. Im so happy we got where we were and am damn proud of our boys.

My thoughts.

Great Season Buckeyes!!!!

Its was a blast to watch and root for you. This team has a chance in every game they play. They almost won the reg season title (5x share) but then won the B1G tourney and won 2 very hard games in this tourney. Hopefully everyone returns, but if not, its next up with the buckeyes. Always will be. And this is THE HARDEST championship to win in any sport. Our coaches give us the absolute best opportunity every year to win it. And I'd rather have that then some schools that get hot 1 year, win it, then are gone.

Oh and im sorry but, Fuk the Big Ten, Fuck Michigan. GO FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell of an effort boys.....good season....is it September yet?

THATS what I'm talk'in about!

Great past 6 weeks of hoops. Was really hoping to keep it going but WState had our number tonite, it happens. Seriously, already a #9 and #4 in, and either a #3 or #4 to match with the #1 or #2 from the Midwest. Very entertaining tourney so far, would be nice to see WState take it all.

Peace

That was just painful to watch. BUT. The comeback (almost) really takes a lot of the sting out.

I had this team pegged as a sweet 16 team AT BEST, so they exceeded my expectations.

They will be right back in the hunt next year. Thad knows what he's doing.

Go Bucks!

That's also what sucks about this loss and why I wish this team could of gotten to the FF.

We'll have to hear all fucking summer how Thad is a mediocre in game coach or how he chokes in March or whatever bullshit people come up with.

Proud of this team to get to this level. If they would have made the final four, (regardless of the opponent) would have blown my mind from a month ago. Matta and his staff deserves credit for getting the players to this level. They did not perform tonight, but I doubt this team could win it all with their offensive deficiencies. No inside threat means hedge out on outside shooters and collapse down on drivers/slashers. Not difficult to prepare for, but they somehow made it work in the end.

Good season and hopefully DT returns for a further run next year.

An image that I remember is Coach Matta with his head down and looking at the ground in the first half. Almost like he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

But the team ended the year strong and are returning one heck of a squad (adding Loving and Kam too).

The last loss like this that left me feeling like I had just received a swift jackbooted kick to my nuts was the Debacle in the Desert.

........then I thought about how great this team is, everything they overcame. Lacking any superstar talent, fighting back from mid-season adversity that would have sunk lesser men, representing my alma mater as a great group of good students and solid men off the court.

Win or lose tonight, this was a great, great Ohio State basketball team that I will always remember with pride.

Losing what we lost last year, and accomplishing what we did this year is nothing to be ashamed of. What a remarkable year. I lived in Wichita the last 10 years and what a great, loyal fanbase they have. Great team, Greg Marshall is doing one heck of a job there. We played amazing this year, wouldn't trade it for anything. Craft, Q, Zelle, Sam and maybe Deshean will have a serious run at it next year baby!

The thing that pisses me off the most is the ScUM fans giving shit for our failed comeback after we had to suffer through their successful one yesterday. Go Gators.

There aren't too many of us on here that don't give Michigan shit, even when they face a Notre Dame or South Carolina. You reap what you sew in your conference.
