Actually, one comma probably would be best. Thus:

"The views expressed here are solely my own - well, most of the time."
Hmmm... that looks as though it is based more on compromise than aesthetics and good streaming continuity. IMO, it looks as though the comma interjects a stutter into the statement.

FWIW, I think that your other quote (below) was more flowing:

OK DJ, then let's try a little quid pro quo. What are you planning to give your sweetheart for Valentines Day?

It would be interesting to see you be involved in one of your threads for a change. You know, rather than just asking questions.

Perhaps a better way for you to start a thread would be like such:
djtidebuck: Such a post, IMO, will lead to more thoughtful and serious discussions, if that is what you are truly seeking. And if you aren't... then quit whining that people aren't taking your posts seriously.
What a thread. I have been given punctuation tips and now someone is offering to edit my posts. Gee, you guys are swell.

Ummm... look at my title. I can edit your posts directly if I should choose to do so. What I offered was an example of how you could start a thread with a post that would be taken more seriously than your most recent attempts.

Of course, though, that would require that you actually want your posts to be taken seriously. Your more recent comments are demonstrating that you don't seem to have any honest interest in your own threads. Especially since you are not even responding to requests made by other posters that might truly be able to assist you.

For a refresher, here are a couple that you should answer:

1. What are you planning to give your sweetheart for Valentines Day?
2. How old is your girlfriend?

Thump, that question is a bit personal to answer on the board, don't you think?
Why, are you concerned about "age limit?"
B/c you have never told us how old you are or where you live.

Why does it matter if people know how old she is?

That matters a lot if you want some serious responses.

It's completely appropriate, IMO. College-aged girls might like to do something that is more active, like a simple dinner and a movie. Older ladies might prefer/require more expensive gifts or activities.

It shouldn't be an issue to you unless you are concerned about a potential age issue.

Alright.

How about this...

How old does she look?

and

How old does she look when you slick her hair back in the shower.

btw..If the answers to those questions are 12 and 9... you need to think about skipping Valentines' day.
