I agree with stxbuck, and chose "other" without really thinking about the Fiesta Bowl, which is obviously my number one moment.

But, my "other" one is against LSU in 1988. It is sorta when I learned how to be a fan. LSU was up and the game was seemingly over. The stadium was emptying (blasphemy!!). All the other kids that we were with, and their dads, left. My dad refused to let me leave, which I probably wanted to do (I can't really remember - I was 13).

Anyway, we came back and kicked butt and won. I enjoyed not only reaming my friends for leaving early but also enjoyed learning, even if we would have lost, that you never leave early and you absolutely never, ever, give up on the scarlet and gray. . .

I guess it is a personal response, though not the most satisfying OSU victory for all.

wow.. this one is hard... i am going with 03 fiesta, i was in texas that whole year... and i was confident in the team all year, i remember in the beginning of the year i didnt really think we had the best team and id admit it but i said that i thought we could get to the game with our schedule and some luck, then tsun came and i was literally mortified, i grew up in the cooper era.. i think that michigan game was more of a relief than exhilerating... i could breath again... then for the fiesta bowl i was surrounded by a bunch of 18 and 19 year old fans of texas and florida state and all the bandwagon cryami fans and was told probally a thousand times the bucks would lose.. i was pacing the room by games end and had to run back to my room to call my dad when it was over... wow that was a great game..

I have to go with LJB on this one. Beating scum is always the most satisfying experience as a Buckeye football fan. Thought beating Miami (scumi) is a very close second because those arrogant, loud mouth players they have there...especially for a NC! I really did wish we have played them again last year just to proof the NC win was not a fluke like they say. I heard that we might play them in the regular season in 2007; does anyone have more information about that?

I had to go with the 2002 Michigan game. I like the 2001 and Miami and ND picks too, but the 2002 Michigan game got about 1,435 monkies off our back at the same time (beating scUM, beating them at home, beating them to preserve a perfect season, beating them in a close game, beating them to win the Big 10, beating them to go to the NC game....)

I was torn between the Fiesta Bowl win at the win over scUM that got us there... I chose the win over scUM. That was such a great game... in the Shoe, beating scUM, clinching the Fiesta Bowl.

:groove:

I went with the Fiesta Bowl National Championship win.....because it was kind of a culmination of what started in Ann Arbor the previous year....and who can forget the "surreal" feeling of Purdue (HolyBuckeye), Illinois (2ot's) and the Will Allen int. against Scum.....then the drama of the NC game against scumsouth....

I'll never forget laying face down on the floor as the Buckeyes swarmed the field.....and crying from happiness and relief.....

I picked other. I believe it was the 81 or 80 liberty bowl win over navy. It was the first time I had ever seen a buckeye game. I lived out in the sticks and was just amazed that a team from Ohio could beat the most powerful navy in the world.

this one's easy

95 vs. the most arrogant fan base in the country. Put the whopping down on them and sealed the deal on another Heisman trophy for tOSU. And just to prove it wasn't a fluke, we beat them again next year in their house. Those two victories have silenced domer fans for nearly a decade against us.

honorary vote also goes to the 142-7 we put up in two games vs. rice and shittsburgh....damn we were good in 96!

Wow - I didn't think that we'd have so many '03 Fiesta Bowl responses, or I would have eliminated that choice, just to make the poll more balanced. While the FB was great, I based my decision for '02 Michigan on my answer to the following question: If I had to watch one game again, which would it be? Michigan, definitely, with the sound down and radio guys calling the game. I still get chills when I hear Jim Lachey yell "Yeeeesssss!!!!!" after Will Allen intercepted the final pass. Awesome!

This might sound really strange, but I was at the scUM game in 02, and I was happy, of course, but I was not nearly as psyched as I was after the Wash. St. or PSU games. Maybe I was expecting them to win and was expecting it as a matter of course. I was cheering, but not going berzerk after that game. The NC game, on the other hand, was like nothing else. I just remember running around PromoWest, drunk off my ass, screaming "we won, we won" over and over, hi-fiving and hugging everyone in sight.

'02 scUM, hands down...

after all the bitterness and angst and bile in the '90s, to finally BEAT SCUM AND MAKE IT to the Big Game was just unbelievable... i mean, for the first time in my life (well i was four in '79, so i don't count that,) we actually had made it to the Bowl Game without screwing up our chances at a Title...

i mean, the '93, '95, and '96, teams were all undefeated headed into The Game, but all fell short... in '97 we STILL had an outside shot even, w/ the Penn State loss, yet fell again, and i don't even want to talk about what happened in '98...

the victory over Miami was just the icing on the cake...

That's a tough one. I'm torn between UM 2001 and the 2003 Fiesta. I ultimately decided on the NC game, as it was incredible to "Shock the World" and beat the team that was supposed to roll over us. However, Tressell fulfulling his 310 day prophecy signaled the beginning of a great era in Buckeye football. (even if we are a disappointed with the off the field problems lately)

Mine isn't on the list. It's the "Holy Buckeye" game. That was the point where I knew it was a special season. That was the point where previous OSU teams would've f'ed it up. That team came through.
