Celtics-Bulls First round series

Exactly, just listened to Mike and Mike, Van Gundy admited that it was a flagrant foul, but you "Can't call that in the final minutes of a game"

Maybe Van Gumpy can show us where the rule books stipulate the specific points in time within a game that certain fouls can and cannot be called. :roll1:

Fuck that...a foul is a foul is a foul, period. If refs aren't going to call certain fouls at certain points of a game, you have two options: 1.) Eliminate the foul from the rules, or 2.) Get new refs.

False. I have the same feelings (and have been quite open about them) towards Rasheed Wallace and the Cavs have owned the Pistons the past couple seasons. I liked KG in Minnesota, it's when he went to Boston and turned into a fucking clown that I started hating him. Why does he have to make that stupid face like he's trying to push out cigar box out of his ass all the time?
because he's gangsta, yo. don't mess with this man...he's so tough!

it's the same argument as the PI call against Cryami. Da U's DB coach told the kid to go ahead and interfere because no ref would call it on them in the last play of the game. You're giving permission to the defense to get away with shit if you say there are certain calls that shouldn't be made depending on the time left on the clock.

lucky for us, Terry Porter doesn't believe in that BS.

I tend to agree you. There had been too many times over the course of the seasons in all sports where everyone has been saying that officials should not determine the outcome of the game when it comes down to the closing plays. Well, the officials have been determining the outcome of every game since the opening play. Just because it might be the last play of the game the same rule should be applied as a once in the first play of the game and it is done only in basketball but in quite a few other sports as well. Even as fans, we say it:!

I'll take it a step further than that. The ref doesn't determine the outcome when they blow the whistle. The player determines the outcome when the commit the foul.
Suddenly I'm a Boston fan?
I guess I'd ask you to point to the sentence in the post that called you a Boston fan.

I think it's more like a bunch of Cavs fans who became anti-Celtics after losing game seven to Boston last year, only to see Boston win their 17th NBA title 2 weeks later. If Cleveland had won that game seven and went on to the title I doubt there would be nearly as much time spent repeating the same criticisms of Garnett and company over and over, again.

Perhaps the Cavs will finally end Cleveland's drought this year.

SWING and a miss. I've always been anti-Celtics and anti-KG. I hate the Celtics because I find Boston fans insufferable ... in all sports. I hate KG because he's grade A prick.

Hey, Rajan Rondo. Fuck you, you cheap shot artist. You're lucky to still be in this playoff series.

Edit - for those who didn't see it, away from the ball, near the side of the court, Rondo grabbed Heinrich's arm from behind and pulled him for about 3 steps, and then threw him off he court where Heinrich bumped into the table with the ad banners on it. Rondo got a flagrant foul for it, but wasn't tossed. Heinrich came back at him and was ready to fight, but a ref did a great job of getting in between them right away. That ref (not Joey Crawford, but Joey's working the game) watched it happen. They reviewed the play, and Heinrich got a technical, Rondo got a flagrant 1 and stayed in the game (Rivers took him out for just a minute).
