Great site!!

FWIW, I'm not sold on Weis. His ego is larger than his appetite.......and that's just plain scary.

CANCHARLIE.COM Update!!!

1/14/06 - VICTORY. More accurately, possible victory. A South Bend real estate broker and several others have emailed me to state that Charlie Weis has put his South Bend home up for sale. He is not currently building another, and the real estate agent said the house he is selling is one of the nicest in the area -- moving to any other area home would be at best a sideways move. It seems, therefore, that Charlie is packing his bags for good. Further cause for celebration can be found in today's New York Jets release which states that Charlie Weis will be interviewing to replace embattled head coach Herm Edwards. Hopefully, everything works out and he can be their problem next fall!

That's pretty funny. If this were real, why would the Jets go with Weis? I know there are a lot of openings in the NFL, so maybe it's a "buyer's" market, so to speak. But, hey! I might have as much chance to get a head-coaching job in the NFL. I, for one, didn't lose to Michigan State!

That site is obviously the work of someone who either hates ND, is afraid that CW will indeed bring ND back, or both.....

I don't think he hates Notre Dame. But I don't see a good reason for this guy to hate Weis. He's not my favorite coach, but ND could do a lot worse. The guy is whining about 8 straight losses in post-season. How many of those losses can be attributed to Weis? The argument can be made about whether it is "all his fault" that ND lost (which I don't believe), but you can't blame the previous 7 losses on him.

If ND wins a BCS game in the next 2 years, I'd like to see if this guy still hates Weis.

The site is pretty good. I love this one:

Believe it or not, Weis did not invent his "aggressive offense." The honors there go to my younger brother. He first experimented with going for fourth and 15+ in his own territory in football videogames five years ago.

SI

At least two NFL owners contacted Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis in the past week to see if they could entice him to leave South Bend, Ind., for the richer confines of the NFL, Weis confirmed over the weekend. Weis told each owner thanks, but no thanks.

well I didn't think he was dumb....probably the best move he can do is stay where he's at. ND (along with a few other college gigs like Ohio State, USC and those bungholes up north) are nearly equivalent to an NFL gig anyway.

Hi there! My name is Charlie Weis. When you come in the jumbo package like I do, you learn a thing or two about economizing, especially on food bills. You may hear that I have been recruited to coach in the pros somewhere on the coast. Well, don't you worry about me leaving the American heartland. You see, you don't need a PhD to figure this one out, the economics are so simple that a president could work it out.

The cost of living in South Bend, IN is 51.8% lower than in New York, NY. The cost of living in South Bend, IN is 31.5% lower than in Los Angeles, CA.

You work out how many extra trips you can make to KFC in South Bend and you'll see what I mean. Heck, just let 'em call and drive up that salary some more. The way we're going here, this gig is gonna keep me in Big Macs for the rest of my life!
