Cincinnati Bengals (Just Burrow In)

my dad is 85. will be 86 in May. just wanted to share one with him before he goes. this one fucking hurt. i find no silver lining. no moral victory. im dead inside.
Dude, try being a fan of a team that is simultaneously the most incompetent in sports history AND one of the most unlucky. It's 16 (now 17) kicks in the balls every Autumn.

You know, I take back thinking that you were a ghost of some previous account. I mean, everyone knows about "can you win with only FGs" and I'm pretty sure all Georgia fans are also Cincinnati Bengals fans.

You wouldn't happen to be a Cardiologist, would you?

Even though I was rooting for the Bengals yesterday, I don't follow them, or the NFL in general, closely enough to consider myself a fan.

If anyone wants to feel sick to their stomach all over again...

And Donald was lined up about a foot offside on that play.

I'm upset about the officiating but the clear consensus on r/NFL that the Bengals got screwed is heartwarming. Extrapolate and at least we have the support of the general population. I know - little consolation.

Being there live, I honestly missed all of that and I am hearing about it now. Not sure how I feel about it after hearing how bad we got screwed. I guess the best way to respond is yeah, we got hosed. BUT...we had a chance to win and didn't get it done. Perine on 3rd and 1 from the gun is flat out frustrating, just have Burrow sneak it and call time out.

But it is over with and a hell of a season. Really think we will make it back if we get the OL right.

He wasn't people are getting it confused with the earlier 4th down play in the 1st half that failed. He was offsides on that one not the last play

Yes, I believe Donald was offside on the 4th and 1 at the Rams' 49 on the first drive, not the last one.

Since I don't think anyone else has mentioned this and it's therapeutic... Recall that Von Bell was flagged for unnecessary roughness for making a solid tackle on Cupp in the end zone. But, iirc, Burrow was bent back awkwardly, and unnecessarily roughly, on the play he got his knee hurt and Chase was unnecessarily roughed on the second to last drive in a very similar manner to how Bell "roughed" Cupp to get penalized. Of course the Rams were not penalized. We have established the fuckery; just wanted to get that on the record.

At any rate, as I've said, bright future ahead and looking forward to a highly competitive team in the years to come.

This team has the opportunity to be really special led by Burrow and Chase. But the main person to constantly hold this franchise back is: Mike Brown. The team will only go as far as what he's willing to spend to bring in and keep talent. Brown has a long history of not paying big money to keep talented players. I'd like to be optimistic, but history has shown that Brown is going to screw up yet again

When I look back at the play where Mixon threw a TD pass...when we kept stopping the run...when Joe Burrow kept getting up every play and fighting. Goddamn I'm proud of this team and this season. Future is bright but even if we win it all in the future, I couldn't be more proud in a team. These guys have to go down in Bengals folklore, to make the Super Bowl with that atrocious OL? Legendary. These guys were something truly special.
