Right, because zombies!!!111!!11!! is what we expect from a show the creators have repeatedly said the humans dynamics are the most interesting. I thought it was fine so far. Watch the first 15-20 minutes of the Dawn of the Dead remake...it exquisitely showed going from nothing to chaos. That's the point of this show. It has to start at nothing, or it is just the Walking Dead again.I was hugely disappointed! They started off with an hour of "Family Problems".
WTF?
I'll DVR it in hopes it gets better because it can't get worse. I'm already thinking it's a flop.

The feral side of human nature seems to be what these creators go for, which admittedly is not for everyone, but does explain the lack of sympathetic characters. If anything I expect this to show that self-absorbed harpies with boyfriends drawing fake tattoos on their arms are exactly who get fed to the zombies...which is OK. Its only 6 episodes, so the action will pick up quickly. Not so much turned off by the slow crawl start w/family conflict, as by the fact that they didn't present a single character that I felt any empathy or attraction toward--feed 'em all to the zombies, I say.
Ehhhh, they were building up the characters. It should get better.
Liked this episode a little better.
But why, after all that, did they leave the food behind?
