Fear The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

So, anyone watch the finale? To me it was mostly “meh”. Had some decent action, but back to the worst days of TWD middle seasons of predictable combined with ridiculous. I mean, honk if you didn’t see the Upham/Saving Private Ryan moment with the soldier coming from a mile away…and they the soldier just magically couldn’t hit a woman with more than a glancing fleshwound from point blank range? And then, I get that Travis would be upset by the realization he is a bitchtwinkie, but the biggest pusscake on TV suddenly is able to channel his inner Ken Shamrock on an American soldier? OK  And the doctor, she is so upset that she just No Country for Old Men’s all the critical patients…but what about everyone downstairs in the pens? No thought of helping them escape at all, despite the fact they were pretty much all able-bodied? And then the ending…Jesus criminy. This was basically 55 minutes of 28 Days Later, and the last 5 minutes of the Dawn of the Dead remake.

I actually really enjoyed it. Freaky as hell. I had issues accepting that the soldier could miss that badly but overall I liked it. Scary shit with zombies, I'm not exactly looking for a work of art here. And honestly, I think it is bringing a ton of different elements that TWD has not.

How long have you been watching TWD and now this show...

...and you can't accept that this universe is rife with comic book levels of logic and suspension of disbelief?

Once you accept Robert Kirkman into your heart, he will forgive you of all of your sound rationales and critical thoughts.

Seriously though...

...this universe can't be expected to "make sense" when the showrunners themselves have basically recanted a whole season and a half of one of their TV shows from canon.

I'm a little behind on FTWD. I've heard horrible things about Season 5 and that's where I am at in order to catch up. Trying to decide if I want to dedicate 16 hours of my life to catch up. Probably will eventually. Anyone here up to date?
