Jim Delany (B1G Commissioner)

The ESPN ticker stated that Ohio State (and some other bigger team, I think it was the Pedsters) aren't included in the Friday night schedules, and also that Michigan "declined to participate" (or something along those lines).

If PedState doesn't want to play on Friday nights, do we really want to join forces with them?

Then again, why are they still in the conference?

The reason why tOSU and PedSU aren't included wasn't mentioned, so I'm not sure if we're "joining" forces with them on this. I'm just glad we're not subject to this shit-bag of an idea...

I think Friday games are great exposure for B1G schools not named Ohio State.

Agreed.

tOSU could really do something cool here for the Ohio HS coaches by pushing back significantly on this issue. It's pretty simple, in Ohio Friday = HS, Saturday = College, Sunday = NFL. /story. I think that the HS coaches would very much appreciate the support from GS and the rest of the program.

I agree. I hope that Ohio State is not being silent on the issue and leaving the high ground to tsun and the cult.

Here's an op-ed piece in today's Chicago Tribune from an influential downstate hs coach in Illinois.
