I think the guy meant to compare Kiffin's statement to JT's "in 310 days ..." speech. Those not close to the tOSU program have a vague and incorrect recollection of JT's statement as being a guarantee of victory over the rival, so that's why he thought Kiffin's statement about winning in The Swamp was similar to JT's.

Ahhh...

I never heard/read/saw that speech by Kiffin. I thought it was somehow supposed to tie into the "cheater" comment.

Thanks.

Kiffin is a sidewindin' bushwackin', hornswagglin' cracker croaker.

But is he getting nearer.

This is all part of an ingenious ploy. Kiffin shows his ignorance of the NCAA rules regarding recruiting, then when all of Tennecheats violations this year come to light, he'll plead ignorance, they would have believed ignorance from him before but this just reinforces it.

Either that or he is just an idiot.

Excuse me stewardess I speak jive and BB73 is correct. The mayor of some small south Georgia town was trying to draw this exact analogy.

Two Barbara Billinsgley references within a couple of days. I sense a fixation.

Personally, I think both Kiffin and Meyer showed a lack of class. Kiffin is coming across as both ignorant and arrogant, not a good combination in any profession. AND, if Meyer knew the student/athlete was on an official visit with UT, to continually call or text him during his visit is about as classless as you can get. JMO.

I believe there was some back story as to the communication between Meyer and the athlete. There's nothing wrong with trying to ensure the commitment that you had received from a player. Lastly, if it's not a violation; then it's pretty much fair game. Remember, Meyer stayed WITHIN the rules; whereas, Kiffin violated them.

Did it say that Meyer continually called him? (This is a serious question, I'm not being a smart ass)

I don't have a problem with what Meyer did.

If you listen to Kiffin's presser he stated that the kid kept getting phone calls and one of the coaches finally asked, "Who keeps calling you?" or something of that nature and the kid said it was Urban Meyer.
