NBA Finals - Celtics vs. Lakers

The place got real quiet, but once he returned electricity. I like Paul pierce, he is a Damm good solid player.

Yep, looks like he's okay. I'm for the Celtics but I wouldn't want Kobe injured and out of the series, either. I want to see the stars go at it and see who wins.

yep, good assesment of what ya stated, which the game is even up so far.

The thing killing the Lakers right now, is some stupid turnovers and the fact that they have to double both Garnett and Pierce...

Think the game would be about 10 pts right now, if Pierce doesn't get the 3 foul in the first half...

Anyone want to argue who the more athletic team is...

Vujacic looks like he is going to trip over his feet guarding Allen...

Surprised Kobe has Let Allen defend him as well as he has so far...Kobe is taking some difficult shots...

You are 100% right, I am 100% wrong. I thought the Lakers were better than this, but they are outmanned. The Celtics are playing poorly and dominating :( Hopefully the Lakers make some adjustments, but so far, Kobe is not, by any means, the best player on the court, in fact, there's three maybe four players on the Celtics outplaying him.

Well, hrm.. my observations.

The Celtics are better... that hurts to say so much, but they are. Gasol isn't aggressive enough, Odom is afraid to take shots, and VladRad can't figure out how to actually defend. Kobe is the shining star and maybe Sasha... but, based on tonight, unless there's some serious changes, I think this series may last 5 games, 6 of the Celtics choose to take it home. Fisher had a great game, but the reality is, unless Gasol and Odom come to play, this isn't going to be a series.

Now, let me be forward here, this is based on tonights game, but the Lakers did well in the first half, the Celtics adjusted, and the Lakers got destroyed. My opinion could change Sunday, but there wasn't a single aspect to be optimistic about. We were forced to double cover Pierce, Allen, and Garnett, and then the bench just destroyed us. The Lakers have a great team, and last year would have won a championship, but the Celtics are playing like they did in the regular season.

I hate to say this but:

Celtics win game 2.
Lakers win Game 3.
Celtics win Game 4.
Lakers Win Game 5.
Celtics win game 6.

Mind you, this is based on what I saw tonight, and the Lakers did have a week off, but the 3 stars of the Celtics dominated the 1 star of the Lakers. There were bright spots, but the Lakers missed open shots, missed free throws, but when Pierce went down, they fell into relaxed mode. That was a challenge for the coaching staff, and the coaching staff failed. Hopefully I am wrong, but those predictions are my gut feeling :(

Yeah, but did you even watch the Atlanta series?

Here we go again...the Celtics lead the NBA in defense in the playoffs, which includes the Atlanta series.

The Lakers lead the playoffs in offense. They came into tonight's game averaging 105 ppg. The Celtics came into it holding opponents to 87 ppg. The Lakers scored 88 in game one.
