Official 2006 NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread

i'm still alive. everybody told me i was on crack when i had LSU in the Final Four... LOL...

They are incredible defensively.

I didnt get to see them play at all this year, it seems like they were never on ESPN or anything.

I think Texas has almost as much talent as anyone in the country. I just dont get why they cant put it together. Gibson, Tucker, and Aldridge probably will all be top-20 picks in the NBA draft.

I was shocked at how much of a non-factor Aldridge was today. I know that LSU plays really athletic defense, but he's got to step up his game when matched up against a good opponent. IMO it says a lot for UT that they made the game this close in light of the fact that their best player was entirely taken out of the game.

And to think Aldridge wanted to go pro out of high school and there are rumors he will go pro after this season. He can't handle LSU's front line, how is he going to handle NBA front lines? I don't know there is something about him as player that I don't like. He will dominant non-physical front lines like WVU or mediocre ones in the Big 12 then struggle against somebody like LSU.

Not sure what's wrong with Memphis right now, but whatever it is, I'm sure it's the refs' fault, and I'm sure Morrison is crying about it. :tongue2:
LMAO! Memphis is killing me right now. i had them in the finals... they can't hit water if they fell out of a boat in this game... i can't remember a team missing so many layups... and now, foul trouble is REALLY putting the hurt on them...

as it stands, there's plenty of time left... i wonder if they can handle the pressure?

well! Memphis goes down to UCLA 50-45... if you think the Buckeyes struggled from the 3-point line late in the season, then you can feel the Tigers' pain. they were 1 of 15 from 3, with the lone make coming in the last 20 seconds or so with the game already out of reach...

well, i still have 2 of my Final Four, providing that UConn doesn't bow out tomorrow... i had Memphis in the Finals. this really hurts in the office pool, however a LOT of people had Dook in the Finals, if not as the Champs...

i may still have a chance at this thing...
