Game Thread Ohio State vs Army, 09/16/17 @ 4:30 ET (FOX)

We might only score in the 30s due to them taking time off the clock, but i'd be shocked if they scored in the 20s. Considering their performances last year against P5 schools and that they only put 21 on Buffalo last week.

I personally would rather see us run all over them than trying to get cute and pass a bunch of times.
If anything I'm more confident in their score then what we will get. We very well could score 50 and I wouldn't be shocked because we have the team to do it. However they're going to move the ball and probably win TOP how that translates to points though is hard to say

If, and I am not sure they can but if, Army can move the ball and control TOP OSU isn't scoring 50 points.

There just won't be enough possessions.

(never mind the fact I don't think they could score 50 against air right now....well maybe against our back 7 in practice but now I'm really getting pissed)

No wonder we thought we were gold on the deep ball this year... It came against the worse pass defense in the nation.

That's why I don't think we score many points in this game that many are calling for. We will be lucky to break 40 but again they'll have troubles hitting 20 points at least

I went back to watch the 2014 game against MSU last night. JT tossed a couple of bad balls in that game, but he played like he was out to prove something and fought for every yard. By the end of the game, he was becoming a monster. I’d love to see that same level of hunger appear today.

Zeke and Devin Smith helped out a lot, but overall the D gave up a lot of points. JT and Co. just kept out scoring them. I believe we have a similar style of back in Dobbins, so that shouldn’t be an issue. A WR stepping up big as the team moves forward could be the difference between below average and lightning in a bottle for the offense. We need a home run hitter at receiver right now.

If JT is able to find a connection or two that he’s really comfortable with and play fearless when scrambling, I firmly believe that this team has the ability to become very dangerous on offense. Things just need to click and fast.

Hopefully these next few game give the Bucks a chance to solidify those needs. I’m still not nearly as ready to throw in the towel on them as some appear to be.

A lot of people feeling sorry for themselves and the Buckeyes right now. Fuck that nonsense!

I never seen a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will fall frozen, dead from a bough, without ever having felt sorry for itself. - D.H. Lawrence

Now pick your sorry asses up and cheer on these BUCKEYES! It's freaking Game Day!!!!!!

HERE WE GO BUCKEYES, HERE WE GO!!!

We'll get back to the basics this week folks. Smash mouth football on both sides of the ball. Army will move it, especially early and get a couple scores, but we'll have our way on offense. JK will go OFF. Halftime will be 24-10 Buckeyes and it only gets better from there. 45-13 Bucks, with the last TD led by a guy not named JT Barrett for good measure.

Personally, I don't do blind faith.

Life has provided me with far too many opportunities to find out how that gesture is "rewarded."

We'll see.

Urban Meyer destroyed my last vestiges of blind faith when he took the Bucks and Troy to the Woodshed in and he NC game. I thought Troy was super man after his dismantling of scUM 3 times.

I still think that game was more to do with complacency and Ginn going down after his opening TD. The Bucks thought they had already faced their biggest challenge and they left it all on the field.

Then again, who knows. I blacked out in a state of shock for most of the game.

This game provides us with the opportunity to work on the downfield passing game and gain some confidence in stretching the field. Hopefully Burrows or Hawkins will see some time on the field as well.

Working on the passing game pretty much guarantees to make the score closer than it should be.

They need to work on the running game. The passing game will naturally open up.
