Derek Morris

He originally signed with Ohio State as part of the class of 2002, never enrolled, and then signed with NC State for the class of 2003. He left NC State after his junior season, but was not drafted by the NFL. I'm not sure what he's doing now.

BTW, there were a lot of red flags raised during this kid's recruitment.

His dad rented a home in UA and stiffed the landlord on the bill when they moved to North Carolina... DM enrolled in a tutorial program at a private high school (I think it was Columbus Academy) and didn't pay that bill either... his dad wanted to become an agent, and was poison from day one... talk about character flaws...

didn't know about the stiffing of the housing and schooling. Seem to remember that his family 'expected' OSU to 'waive' his entry scores or falsify them or somesuch, just because he was a 5* OL. That didn't work, so he enrolled at NC St. Also recall that when we played them he was held out of the game (?). don't know if really injured, or if the coach figured OSU would try to hurt him.....really don't know that for certain...

Poor kid, you do feel sorry for those kids who are handed everything all their life, and then when they have to earn it, they 'fumble'. I can think of several Buckeyes for which that was true also. I do hope he gets straight and makes a decent life for himself.

this is hilarious how all you guys are hating on him. whats even funnier is the lies that are being mentioned. mainly about his dad wanting to be his agent and favorable treatment etc.... get to learn someone as a person before you criticize him the way all of you have!

Well, all of the so-called "lies" have been fairly well documented, but if you have some inside information that hasn't seen the light of day during the past six years, then feel free to offer it up....

im not here to really argue what did and did not happen but if you get all your info from the media and believe everything you hear then somethings wrong. its not fair for people to hurt his image up on here. its one thing if you dont like someone b/c they didnt compete for your school, its another to bash people like his dad and call him "fat" when hes a very good OT.
